A small electrical fire damaged the building that once housed Kingwood Pharmacy, early Thursday morning.
East Ridge Fire Department was dispatched to 3824 Ringgold Road at 1:39 a.m., according to records from Hamilton County 911. An official with the fire department said that a resident across the street from the building on Kingwood Driver reported seeing flames near or on where the electrical service enters the building on the roof.
When firefighters arrived there was visible smoke. The power to the empty building was cut and firefighters gained access by forcing the front door. Authorities remained on the scene for more than an hour as the person responsible for the building arrived and made arrangements to secure the premises.
No injuries were reported.
