Thursday is election day for the State Primary and Hamilton County General Election.
Voters in East Ridge will vote exclusively at Camp Jordan Arena. Polls open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
In response to the pandemic, last month the Hamilton County Election Commission announced that the three polling places in East Ridge would be consolidated into one polling place, Camp Jordan Arena.
Officials said the arena would be curtained off into four polling precincts.
Officials said poll workers will be wearing face masks as a precaution, and are urging voters to wear masks and social distance while voting.
Voters need to bring a valid photo identification to the polls. These include a Tennessee driver license or photo ID issued by the Department of Safety.

Election officials offer the following advice if one is concerned about mixing in crowds while voting: Early morning, noon and 5 p.m. are peak times at polling places. Being flexible and voting mid-morning or mid-afternoon may shorten wait times at polling places.
According to the Secretary of State’s Website, frail, physically disabled or pregnant voters should tell poll workers they are unable to wait in line. The law allows these voters to move through the process faster.
More than 26,000 Hamilton County voters have already cast their ballots during absentee and early voting, officials said.
