Duplex Fire on Camp Jordan Road

This from East Ridge Fire Chief Mike Williams:

On Saturday at approximately 3:24 p.m., East Ridge Fire and Police were dispatched to a reported duplex on fire located at 370 Camp Jordan Rd. This was during the Coker Tire Cruise-In event at Camp Jordan.

Upon arrival we found light smoke in the apartment from items on the stove. The cause appears to be accidental.

I would like to say that our police officers did a great job with moving traffic for the fire equipment to gain access to this reported fire. Camp Jordan Road is the back entrance to the park. The traffic congestion was very heavy and these officers did great. I am very proud of all that were involved.
