The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
Dec. 2 Day Shift
134 Margareta Lane (Veranda at the Ridge)- Apartment Fire/AOA-
Police responded to assist Fire. On scene the occupants were in the parking lot and the apartment was full of smoke. Once Fire arrived they took over and handled the call.
5378 Matthews Drive- Burglary-
Upon arrival police spoke with the complainant. She advised she is in the process of moving and stayed at another address overnight. She stated she returned to the property this morning and noticed the screen door was open, and a piece of the door was on the ground. She advised she entered the property and noticed several items missing or damaged. CID was contacted and responded to process the scene. Police determined the unknown suspect broke a glass pane on the back door, reached into the property and unlocked the back door.
5707 Ringgold Road (Dollar General)- Shoplifting-
On the above date and time, I spoke to the manager of Dollar General via phone in reference to a theft. The manager advised that at around 0905 hrs this date, an unknown b/f carrying a pink bag stole $95 in bacon from the store and fled the scene in a white VW. The manager advised that she would be attempting to obtain video surveillance at a later date. No further at this time
1417 Tombras Avenue- Tag Theft-
An employee with East Ridge Codes Department stated that sometime after 1632 hours last date, someone took the tag off his 2012 Ford- F150 city owned work truck. There is no suspect information.
5714 Ringgold Road (Walters Body Shop)- Tag Theft-
The complainant advised that sometime in the morning hours of 12-1-20, someone took a dealer tag that belonged to the business off one of the vehicles on the lot. There is no suspect info.
314 East View Drive- Vehicle Burglary-
The complainant called to advise sometime between 12/1/2020 1830 hours and 12/2/2020 0750 hours her 2012 Ford Focus was entered, and items were taken. The vehicle had been left unsecured. The following items were taken from the vehicle: social security card, daughter’s social security, debit card to Comtrust FCU, and Tennessee Valley FCU, bank account information, health insurance card, vehicle insurance card, gift cards to Children’s Place unknown value, Dave and Busters gift card of unknown value. The vehicle was not damaged. There is no suspect information.
1417 Mack Smith Road #242 (East Ridge Residences)- Auto Theft-
The complainant called to report her black 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe stolen. While enroute police observed a black Santa Fe in the lot of the Cracker Barrel. Upon checking the tag, the vehicle was found to belong to the complainant. She was notified of the whereabouts of her vehicle.
6514 Ringgold Road (Mapco)- Disorder-
The caller advised a male had locked himself in the restroom and was drinking beer. On arrival police made there way to the restroom and encountered Danny P. Upon further investigation, officers found Danny had paid for the alcoholic beverage (a beer) prior to entering the bathroom. The man stated he went into the bathroom to utilize the facility after making his purchase. Danny further stated he utilized the store’s Wi-Fi connection and consumed the beer while using the restroom. The man admitted to drinking the alcoholic beverage but did not appear intoxicated or a threat to himself or anyone else. The store manager requested for the man to be criminally trespassed from the business. Police informed Danny that he was criminally trespassed, and he agreed to leave the area.
730 Germantown Circle (Germantown Gardens)- Pedestrian Struck-
The caller advised of a male stuck under his vehicle with the tire resting on his leg. On arrival, police with the help of bystanders, were able to push the vehicle off the male and pull him from underneath. The male was identified as a resident of the complex. He was transported to a local hospital.
1220 Laurelwood Drive- Theft-
The resident advised on 12/2/2020 between 1258 hours and 1320 hours two packages were taken from his front porch after UPS sent a notification that the packages had been delivered. The packages contained computer monitors. There is no suspect information available. There are no cameras on the home.

Night Shift
1007 Floyd Drive / Domestic Assault:
Michael Clark was taken into custody for domestic assault, after he struck his wife’s vehicle multiple times with a metal dog crate when she was trying to leave the residence after an argument. Clark was transported to the Hamilton County Jail with no issue, conditions of release were served to Michael Clark and the victim.
4330 Ringgold Road/Fraud:
An employee with Fish mania reported that he received a phone call from a blocked number reporting to be with his bank Regions. The man gave out personal information and now has $1,000 pending being deducted from his account. He has already notified Regions and they requested the police report.
1417 St Thomas St/Drug arrest:
Hailee Hicks was arrested for possession of heroin for resale, criminal impersonation and possession of Xanax at this location during a consensual encounter.
700 S. Moore Road / Arrest-Drugs:
After being stopped for speeding, Dennis C. Ryals was arrested for Possession of Schedule II (Cocaine) For Sale, Possession of Schedule II (Amphetamine), Possession of Schedule VI (Marijuana), and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
Douglas @ Frawley / Aggressive Dog:
Police received a call-in reference to an aggressive animal. The dog was located and found not to be aggressive.
915 Donaldson Road / Missing Person, Endangered Adult:
An elderly man left his residence at this location around 1240 hours. He visited a friend on Waconda Shore Drive, Soddy Daisy, TN and was last seen heading to the United Grocery Store on Highway 58 at 1430 hours. The elderly man suffers from dementia and gets disoriented when he drives. Police entered him into NCIC as endangered missing person in which he was located at 2320 hours in Oneida, TN by OPD. He was located in a wooded area on a trail next to railroad tracks. EMS transported him to Big South Fork Medical Center where his family could pick him up after being examined. The man’s name was removed from NCIC after being located in Oneida, TN.
