Creswell Facing Weapons, Theft Charges

On Tuesday, East Ridge Police recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested a suspect that admitted to the theft.

The vehicle, a 2001 Toyota, was stolen on November 11 from an East Ridge business. The security camera of the business captured the theft. An East Ridge officer on patrol observed the suspect walking on Ringgold Road after being alerted by the business. An investigative stop revealed that the suspect was carrying a prohibited weapon.

The suspect, 40 year old Jonathan Creswell of a Frawley Road address, was taken to the East Ridge Police department where he admitted to the theft and told the investigator where the car could be found. The suspect was charged with Theft over $1000 and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. His appearance in East Ridge City Court is scheduled for December 1, 2015.
