Crash in Construction Zone on I-75

Minor injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash in the construction zone on Interstate 75, late Monday evening.

According to East Ridge Fire Chief Mike Williams, first responders were dispatched to a vehicle crash on I-75 North just after 10 p.m. at the Ringgold Road overpass.

Chief Williams said a pickup truck had rear-ended a dump truck in the construction zone. Those involved in the crush sustained minor injuries.

“Great work to all that were involved,” Chief Williams wrote on the City of East Ridge Fire and Rescue Facebook page.
