Described as a “think tank” of individuals with a mission to discuss department and community issues while using an open group-based decision model, the Collegedale Police Department’s Round-Table Advisory Committee meets every fourth Thursday of each month.
The committee includes police officers, a chaplain, a city commissioner, and members of the community, who all serve one-year terms.
The police department seeks a community member interested in having a voice in department operations and community involvement. The requirements for the position are simple. The individual must either be a resident of the City of Collegedale or own a business inside the Collegedale city limits.
If you’d like to be considered, please submit a letter of interest documenting your full name, state- issued ID or driver’s license number, and your residential or business address. Your letter should briefly describe your background and why you are interested in serving in this position. Please e-mail your letters to Assistant Chief Jamie Heath at [email protected] by Thursday, July 20, 2023.
