If you have been searching for something unique to do to impress Mom on Mother’s Day and show her your love and appreciation, then the City of East Ridge has just the answer.  On Sunday, May 14, East Ridge Parks and Recreation wants to invite you and your mom to attend their Mother’s Day Tea Party. 

This special event, dedicated to celebrating moms of all ages, will be held from 1pm until 3pm at the East Ridge Community Center located at 1515 Tombras Avenue.  Although admission to the Mother’s Day Tea Party is free, canned food donations for the East Ridge Food Pantry are encouraged. 

The Tea Party will have several types of teas available for guests to select from in addition to a variety of light snacks, including fruits, vegetables, and small sandwiches.  A special photo booth equipped with fun props, such as glasses and boas, will be available to record your memories with Mom.   

“This event is inspired by the times I can look back on in my childhood with my own mother and grandmother at the old tea house in Chattanooga,” said Hannah Spear, East Ridge Community Center Coordinator. “We had so much fun drinking tea and giggling with joy over the femininity of being a girl with a glass of hot tea in her hand. I hope that some of our community members can create their own warm memories at this tea party while celebrating moms.”

The Mother’s Day Tea Party will have limited seating, so reservations are required.  To register, send your name, phone number, email address, and number of guests to [email protected].
