The groundbreaking for the new Chick-fil-A restaurant in the Jordan Crossing development has been postponed, officials said Monday morning.
The groundbreaking was scheduled for 10 a.m. on Monday but was apparently postponed due to inclement weather.
The new 5,000-square-foot restaurant is at 639 Camp Jordan Parkway and will be the first restaurant in Jordan Crossing. The Chick-fil-A, owned by Heath Kyle, is expected to be open for business by spring and will offer seating for 120 guests. Plans are for additional patio seating for a dozen, as well as a playground for children.
When it opens, the location is expected to create upwards of 85 new jobs.
