The Chattanooga Firefighters Association Local 820 announced its public endorsement of Esther Helton, Republican candidate running in the state primary for the open District 30 seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives.
“Having a representative who will listen and respond to concerns is critical. Esther Helton has been a tremendous supporter of first responders, even before she was a candidate for office. Our community will benefit from her representation and engagement,” observed Tim Bryant, Secretary-Treasurer for the Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 820. “Esther is the right choice for the job.”
The Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association has more than 225 active members who support charitable organizations, non-profit groups and political candidates that best represent local communities and the work to educate and advocate for the men and women who serve to protect Chattanoogans, their homes and properties.
“I am truly honored to have the support of the men and women who are among our first responders. I have a respect of their courage, service and sacrifice to our community and value their vote of confidence to be the best voice in Nashville,” noted Helton, a nurse practicing for thirty-five years.
Esther Helton is a nurse who continues in her 35-year career in healthcare running in the Hamilton County Republican Party Primary on Thursday, August 2nd. Helton ran and was elected to serve as an East Ridge City Council Member in 2016 on a platform of holding the line on property taxes and growing the city’s economy through job-creation and not taxation. East Ridge did not raise its property tax rate in its upcoming budget.
Early Voting for the state primary election starts on Friday, July 13, and ends on Wednesday, July 28. Election Day for the state primary is Thursday, Aug. 2.
