RINGGOLD _ Catoosa County Animal Control is working in partnership with VCA Catoosa Animal Hospital to provide a convenient, low cost way to register and vaccinate cats and dogs against rabies on Saturday, April 30.
Two clinic locations will be provided:
- Boynton Elementary School, 3938 Boynton Drive, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Ringgold Elementary School, 322 Evitt Lane, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
“State and county laws require all cats and dogs more than 90 days old to be vaccinated against rabies and registered annually,” said Catoosa County Animal Control Director Sheree Horton. “Additionally, pets must wear the proper tags that display their registration number. These requirements help ensure the health and safety of people and their pets.”
Rabies shots and registration, required for all Catoosa County pets, will cost $15 per animal. Rabies vaccinations for non-Catoosa County residents will be $10 per pet. A senior citizen discount will waive the $5 registration fee, for a net cost of $10 per pet. Payments in cash or check are accepted (no debit/credit cards) at the time of registration and vaccination.
