The Chattanooga area middle school football season began last week. In a key match-up, Catholic defeated Chattanooga Christian, 22-6.
Catholic is a cooperative football program consisting of students from Chattanooga’s two area Catholic middle schools, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in East Ridge and St. Jude in Hixson.
The game was a hard-fought contest played at the impressive Chattanooga Christian Football/Soccer complex. Catholic’s Dallas Brown was the dominating force on both sides of the ball. Catholic running back Reeve Mullinax scored two touchdowns for the Rams. Chattanooga Christian quarterback Van Meter scored for the Chargers.
East Ridge based Catholic squares off against Normal Park (CSAS) next week, while Chattanooga Christian takes on Christian Heritage of Dalton, Ga.
