Building plans for a new building at Jordan Crossing have been submitted to the City of East Ridge.
The Plaza at Jordan Crossing will consist of two buildings totaling about 17,000 square feet, officials said earlier this week. The buildings will be constructed on Camp Jordan Parkway in front of where the 88-room Hampton Inn is nearing completion.
City officials said that one building’s architectural plans call for four tenants. The other building may house five new businesses.
East Ridge News reached out to John Healy, a principal with the firm that is developing Jordan Crossing. Healy did not respond to an e-mail asking for additional information about plans for the new building.
Jordan Crossing is home to Bass Pro Shops and Chick-fil-A. The Hampton Inn is under construction and anticipated to open in the near future.
According to a master plan on the Jordan Crossing Website, a total of 13 buildings could be built on the 50-acre site in coming years. In the summer of 2015, Jordan Crossing developers told members of the East Ridge City Council it plans to construct as much as 350,000 square-feet of retail space on the site, generating as much as $1.6 million a year in local sales tax.
