On Monday, the hearing before Criminal Court Judge Boyd Patterson in the Budgetel case was postponed until December 5.
The date was agreed upon by attorneys from Budgetel and the Hamilton County District Attorney’s office to allow more time for preparation.
Charles Wright, an attorney representing numerous people who were displaced by the shuttering of the extended-stay motel on N. Mack Smith Road, told the Chattanoogan.com, that he was unaware of the change in dates.
More than 500 people who resided at the Budgetel were displaced when the district attorney’s office closed the facility as a public nuisance.
