Boyd to Hold Community Meeting

Hamilton County Commissioner Tim Boyd will hold a community meeting in East Ridge later this month.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Augusts 19, at the Community Center next to City Hall on Tombras Avenue. Boyd said the meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. EDT. The public is encouraged to attend.

“It’s been a while since we’ve been able to meet so I hope to see a good crowd of folks,” said Boyd, who represents District 8 that includes East Ridge.

Over the past five years, Boyd has held numerous community meetings across the county including in East Ridge. Some of Boyd’s topics of discussion in the pasts has been the WWTA and the funding for the Chattanooga Convention and Visitors Bureau, now known as the Chattanooga Tourism Company.

Dick Cook has lived in East Ridge since the Kennedy Administration when his parents bought a house on Marietta Street. Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science.
