The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports” provided by department administration.
August 01 – Day Shift
3618 Weldon Dr – Theft from an Auto –
The resident reported to police that an unknown party entered her vehicle during the night and took some money. The woman stated she did not want to file a report, but wanted police to be aware and to increase patrol in her neighborhood.
4320 Bennett Rd – East Ridge High School – Alarm –
On arrival, officers located an unsecured door on the vocational building. The building was cleared and police made contact with a responsible who secured the building.
100 Dorah Ln – Veranda at the Ridge – Fire alarm –
Nearby residents reported hearing a fire alarm going off in the area. Police and Fire located a detector still alerting in the remains of the burned out section of the apartment building, in the attic. Due to the location of the detector and no presence of smoke or fire in the area, it was left to expire on its own.
1417 St. Thomas St – Motel 6 – AOA –
Officers assisted HCSO and BCSO attempt to locate a kidnapping suspect after the victim’s phone was pinged near this location. The victim was later located by police in Ooltewah. Unknown on suspect’s whereabouts.

August 01 – Night Shift
728 Frawley Rd (Disorder Prevention 20-010019):
Officers were intending to stand by while the reporting party retrieved personal property. The reporting party and his ex-girlfriend could not separate items without disordering even with police present. He was told to return on a later date to retrieve his property.
6700 Ringgold Rd (Misdemeanor Citation 20-010022):
Jacob Keaton was cited for Simple Possession of Marijuana during a traffic stop.
6733 Ringgold Rd (Suspicious Person/Arrest 20-010024):
Reporting party asked police to check the area of 6700 Ringgold Rd for a white male who appeared to be breaking into cars at Trantham’s Transmission. Officers located a white male matching the description of the suspect, Jason Cothran. Cothran had a number of items on his person one doesn’t normally carry, but would be found in a vehicle. The items included window wipes, a small level, a CD case with a number of CD’s Cothran couldn’t name, and a machete still in its original package. Cothran was transported to the Hamilton County Jail on multiple warrants. Further investigation into the vehicle burglary is pending.
4200 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 20-010025):
Jaquay King Saunders was taken into custody during a traffic stop. King Saunders was in possession of over 3.5 ounces of marijuana, a handgun and a set of digital scales. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail charged with Possession Schedule VI (Resale), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
3600 Fountain Ave (Shots Fired 20-010026):
Reporting party called police stating they believe they heard shots in the area and also believed there was going to be a shootout at the corner of Fountain Ave and McHann Dr. Officers arrived in the area and initially did not observe any sounds of gunfire or distress. Police then heard distinct gunshots from the Gleason Road/Seminole area. Officers relocated to Gleason and Dunlap where a black sedan was seen speeding from the area. The vehicle turned off all lights and sped away at a high rate of speed when police were observed.
703 Gleason Terrace Ct (Crash/DUI Arrest):
Taylor Richards was arrested after driving through several yards, crashing into a parked vehicle, hitting several items in a yard and her vehicle finally coming to rest teetering on the edge of a small cliff. She was intoxicated to the point of not having the ability to stand for field sobriety tests.
5018 Newport Dr (Disorderly Conduct 20-010017):
Dallas Foster was taken into custody for disorderly conduct at this address.

August 02 – Day Shift
3326 Ringgold Rd – Mr. Zip – DUI –
Ben Ayres was arrested for DUI after he came to the gas station under the influence of alcohol…to purchase more alcohol.
4150 Ringgold Rd – Walmart – Shoplift –
Loss Prevention reported that a large black male with long dreads and a white sleeveless t-shirt came in and went through the self-checkout with a buggy full of items. The subject went through the motions of scanning items but then put the bags in his buggy and left the store. Suspect left in a small white sedan.
5712 Stateline Rd – Attempted Auto burglary –
A white male subject was videoed by newly installed security cameras attempting to open a car door in the owner’s driveway. The family dog alerted the family causing the thief to flee.
3412 Missionaire Ave – Auto Burglary –
An Unknown subject went into the homeowner’s unsecured vehicle and stole a variety of items between 11 PM and 630 AM. The victim has a security camera , but unknown at this time if it recorded the theft.
1520 Keeble St – Auto Burglary –
The resident stated someone went through his vehicle between the hours of 0500 and 0830 hours today and stole approximately $50 in loose change and a Bose blue tooth speaker ($150 in value). The complainant stated he wanted police to do extra patrol on this street. No suspect info at this time.

August 02 – Night Shift
932 Spring Creek Rd (Assault in Progress 20-010071):
Passerby stated a male was pushing a female and attempting to strike her with crutches at this location. Police arrived and located the parties. Both parties stated they were in a verbal disorder only and no physical assault occurred.
600 Bacon Trail (Motorcycle Theft):
Reporting party called wishing to report a motorcycle stolen sometime in the past seven days. RP did not have proof of ownership nor was the motorcycle registered. He will make contact with police when he has proof of ownership.
6700 Ringgold Rd (Stolen Tag Recovery 20-010075):
During a traffic stop it was learned the visible registration plate displayed on the vehicle had been stolen out of Chattanooga. The tag was recovered, removed from NCIC and placed in property.
323 Camp Jordan Pkwy (Disorder 20-010077):
Police responded to the duck pond after receiving several calls about a white male causing a disorder. Officers arrived and located Josh M. who admitted to being upset and using loud profane language. Josh was encouraged to leave the park for the evening.
6200 Ringgold Rd (Disorder 20-010079):
Reporting party stated a customer was screaming at employees and blocking cars from processing through the drive thru. Police asked the party to leave and she complied.
6708 Ringgold Rd (Stolen Auto Recovery 20-010082):
Amanda Gann and a companion were observed in a silver Cadillac on the parking lot of Circle K. An information check revealed a possible stolen tag was displayed on the vehicle. As police were investigating the tag it was learned the vehicle was stolen out of Alabama. Gann was taken into custody for being in possession of the Cadillac, Driving While Suspended and Use of Stolen Registration Plate.
