The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.
July 30 – Day Shift
Germantown Rd./Fountain Ave:
Police were dispatched to the area regarding a male party throwing fireworks at passing cars. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate him.

July 30 –Night Shift
4338 Ringgold Rd / Suspicious / Public Intoxication / Warrant Service:
Police responded to the Food Lion on a report of a suspicious person. Once on scene police contacted a male party identified as Terry Griffin. Griffin was intoxicated to the point he could not ensure his own safety. Police were going to allow Griffin to be taken care of by his friend, however she was taken into custody for Hamilton County warrants. With Griffith not having anyone to ensure his safety and with him not giving police a location where he wished to sober up, he was taken into custody for public intoxication.
1309 Sunnyfield Ln / Vehicle Fire:
Police responded to a vehicle fire at this location. Upon arrival police checked to make sure the vehicle was not occupied and then cleared the area. East Fire responded and extinguished the fire.
5301 Ringgold Rd. / Robbery:
An unknown black male wearing a tan hat, gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, and house shoes entered Walgreen’s and showed the cashier a firearm which was in his waist band. The male demanded the money from the register which he received from the cashier and left the area on foot last seen north on McBrien Road. Due to a delay of information from the victim, police were not able to locate the suspect. CID responded and processed the scene.
6300 Ringgold Rd / Medical:
Police received a BOLO for a reckless driver in a gray sedan who had continuously striking the curb as well as traveling in the bicycle lane. Police located the vehicle in the 6100 block of Ringgold Rd and observed it traveling east bound in the bicycle lane at 3 MPH. Police attempted a stop on the vehicle which took several blocks. After the driver was contacted it was determined he was having a medical emergency. Police waited several minutes for EMS only to discover they had not been dispatched yet and then was told that they would have a delayed response. Police transported the driver to Parkridge East where he received treatment for a diabetic emergency.
1410 Mack Smith Road / Disorder:
Jason and Brandy Snyder were criminally trespassed at the request of management following a disorder in the front lobby.
5200 State Line Road/Crash-Property Damage:
A bronze Lincoln ran over the stop sign at the north east corner of McBrien Road and State Line Road. The Lincoln left the scene north bound on McBrien Road.
722 Bacon Trl. / Wellbeing Check:
East Ridge Fire and police forced entry into an apartment on a medical emergency / wellbeing check. The person to be checked on was found lying in bed and was fine. However, did appear to be intoxicated. This following information received that she likely was suffering from a stroke.
915 S Seminole Dr/Auto theft:
The complainant advised that a black male by the name of Poo Poo stole her vehicle from this location. The vehicle was entered into NCIC. The vehicle is a 2003 black Nissan Maxima with a TN temp tag. The passenger side mirror is hanging down.
300 Dunlap Ave/Evading/Drug Arrest:
Police attempted to stop a black motorcycle on S Seminole Road, the motorcycle fled north on S Seminole. Police later located the motorcycle and driver on Dunlap @ S Seminole stuck in mud. Erik Turner was arrested for evading, poss of meth for resale and reckless driving.

July 31 – Day Shift
100 Dorroh Ln. Apartment Fire/(AOA):
Police responded to an apartment fire at this location. Upon arrival, police observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. Upon ERFD arrival, officers assisted with evacuating surrounding apartments and conducting multiple sweeps of the apartments to ensure all parties had safely exited the rooms. Approximately 10 apartments were damaged during the fire.
I-75@Ringgold Rd – Road Rage:
Female driver in a black Audi was traveling northbound when a silver car came into her lane. After blowing her horn at the driver, the black male driver followed her into East Ridge. At a stop light he got out and pulled on her doors asking if she “wanted to go?” “did she wanna fight?” The driver made her way to the ERPD where as she pulled into the parking lot the other driver fled.
Welcome Center I-75 North – Child Abuse –
Several parties observed a white female slap her 8-year-old daughter several times in the back of a car with Georgia plates. Employees at the center recorded the car’s info and contacted children’s protective services in Georgia. They advised contacting local authorities. Car was GOA.

601Walnut St (Warrant Arrest):
Miranda Blair was booked on East Ridge warrants at the Hamilton County Jail.
1417 St Thomas St (AOA Warrant Arrest):
Kevin Dollmont was transported to the Hamilton County Jail on warrants following a traffic stop at this location.
4030 Dellway Cir (Vandalism/Arrest 20-009984):
Police responded to this address concerning vandalism. A woman’s vehicle had been vandalized by either her granddaughter or another male juvenile. A determination of who damaged the vehicle could not be made because of the intoxication levels of both juveniles. Both were taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail for Underage Alcohol Consumption.
3657 Old Ringgold Rd (Disorder 20-009987):
Reanita Carter requested police respond to the Cascades Motel because her friend Anthony refused to take her home. He also denied her access to drive his vehicle. She demanded police require Anthony, who was intoxicated, drive her home. Officers explained she had other options, such as walking or calling Uber. A solution to Carter’s desire to leave presented itself when officers learned she had active Red Bank warrants. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
6000 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 20-009973):
Charles Ritz was arrested for Driving Revoked for DUI and Possession of Schedule V.
4000 Bennett Rd (Misdemeanor Citation 20-009979):
Ian Norwood was issued misdemeanor citations for Simple Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
6700 Ringgold Rd (Stolen Firearm 20-009969):
Reporting party called police from Illinois to report he had accidentally left a Smith &Wesson handgun in room 114 of The Quality Inn. He stated he contacted The Quality Inn and the desk clerk immediately replied they didn’t have it. Report on file.
4222 Ringgold Rd/ Animal Call:
Police responded to the Speedway gas station for a found dog. The animal appeared to be very skinny, injured in the legs, and very unhealthy. Police contacted animal services, who responded to the scene and took possession of the animal.
