Day Shift August 15
24-010446 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Assault – Police received multiple reports of an assault in progress in a parking area at Camp Jordan. As officers arrived the combatants fled in a vehicle but were located a short time later. Both parties were extremely hostile towards police, and both displayed obvious injuries from an assault. One was charged with DUI, Driving on Suspended, Disorderly Conduct and Assault. Another was found to have extraditable warrants for Terroristic Threats and Contempt of Court in Colorado. He was additionally charged with Assault and Disorderly Conduct.
24-010437 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Trespass – A party was found sleeping in the drive through of a vacant bank building. He was advised to review the signage on the property stating, “No Trespassing”. He was given a courtesy ride to Metropolitan Ministries in Chattanooga.
24-010438 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Criminal Trespass Arrest – A party was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass after police found him sleeping outside East Ridge Antique District, a business he was trespassed from in April.
24-010440 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist A Citizen – A man was located sleeping under the bridge. He was advised of the statutes prohibiting camping under state highways. He was checked for warrants and transported to the Community Kitchen at his request.
24-010443 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist A Citizen – Another party was located sleeping under the bridge. He was advised of the statutes prohibiting camping under state highways. He was checked for warrants and transported to an address in Red Bank.
24-010442 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder with a Weapon – Police responded after a caller reported a man was in the lobby with a gun. Officers located a black Nissan Altima described by the caller as the vehicle the subject was in. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and detained the occupants. As officers investigated the incident, it was found that there was no such party, and the caller was delusional due to mental health issues.
24-010448 – 3200 BLK Gleason Drive – Well-Being Check – Police assisted Veteran Affairs in checking the well-being of a party who has not been seen for approximately one week. Officers found the apartment to be empty.
24-010456 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – An Asset Protection Associate reported two women failed to scan several items on 08/04/2024 while at a self-scan register. Warrants will be sought pending identification of the subjects.
24-010461 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – A subject was criminally trespassed from the business after he was observed washing his dog with the building’s water.
24-010452 – 300 BLK Shephard Avenue – Stolen Vehicle – ERPD attempted to stop a stolen vehicle as it passed through Ridgeside. The pursuit was terminated shortly after it began. CPD pursued another vehicle stolen by the same occupants a short time later and arrested three juveniles with firearms.
24-010458 – 5800 BLK Ringgold- Shoplifting – The owner stated three females entered his establishment and attempted to shoplift custom jewelry. The owner stated he confronted the thieves to retrieve his merchandise and told them they also owed him for prior shoplifting. The owner stated the three exited the business and left in a gray Infiniti.
Night Shift August 15
24-010480 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Speeding / Reckless Driving – Police observed a suspicious vehicle traveling westbound on Ringgold Road and attempted to follow it. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed and the responding officer activated his emergency lights and sirens. The vehicle continued to travel at a high rate of speed northbound on South Germantown Road, out of the view of officers. The vehicle was later found to have crashed at the intersection of South Germantown and Brainerd Road.
24-010483 – 3700 BLK Brainerd Road – Injury Crash – ERPD Officers responded to the report of a serious injury crash in Chattanooga. ERPD Officers secured the scene and performed lifesaving measures until the Chattanooga Police Department and Hamilton County EMS arrived on scene.
24-010470- I75 Northbound, MM 1 – Assist Other Agency / Warrant Service – Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested on an outstanding Georgia Felony Probation Warrant. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-076287 – 6500 BLK East Brainerd Road – Assist Other Agency / Disorder with a Weapon – ERPD Officers responded to a request for assistance from the Chattanooga Police Department for a possible robbery attempt at this address. ERPD Officers arrived and helped in establishing a perimeter. CPD officers found the suspected victim was uncooperative and several smaller disorders erupted in the area following the initial incident. ERPD officers returned to their jurisdiction without incident.
24-010473 – 4000 Bennett Road – Assist Other Agency / Warrant Service – Following a traffic stop, a man was taken into custody for an Arrest Warrant out of Hamilton County. The original charge for the warrant was theft. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
