East Ridge Creative Arts announces the next event in the ARTBeat Saturday Nights series, which will be held on Saturday, September 9th from 6-9 p.m. The event is cohosted with ERCA by Local Coffee of East Ridge at their shared location in the True Life Center, 4104 Ringgold Road in East Ridge.
East Ridge Creative Arts is a non-profit arts organization which exists to promote the development of arts and culture via performance and arts display events, as well as arts education. ERCA began hosting ARTBeat events in 2018. Unfortunately, the series was suspended when the host venue, Local Coffee of East Ridge, was closed for relocation – a process that was significantly delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Local has been back in our new location since November 2022, and we were thrilled to relaunch our every-other-month ARTBeat nights in the spring of 2023,” says co-owner/director of ERCA, Debbie Lance. “We love finally having our doors reopened for our community and promoting local arts in any way we can.”
This month’s ARTBeat features the works of Nancy Cassidy (pottery & paintings), Lin B. Prabish (photography), and painters Susan Biro, Sherry Johnson, Megan Jones and Debbie Lance. The ongoing Wayne Summerlin Gallery, on loan to ERCA, is also available for viewing during this event. In addition, ERCA is welcoming back the amazing music industry legend Tom Zutaut spinning vinyl & telling tales, as well as several other musicians performing live.
All ARTBeat nights are provided free of change, and Local Coffee of East Ridge remains open throughout the event. ERCA invites everyone to also mark their calendars for a very special ARTBeat Christmas Market night on Saturday, November 11th, 6-9pm.
