The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
April 14 Day Shift
21-004992- 941 Spring Creek Road (Parkridge East)- Theft-
Police responded to an auto theft complaint. On arrival police met with the reporting party. He advised Tammy Sherrill took his 2005 Ford Ranger from the parking lot of the hospital without his permission. The victim stated that the incident occurred shortly after he arrived at the hospital on April 12. He also stated Sherrill occasionally borrowed his truck, but he had started to limit her access to it due to an incident where she kept it for 48 hours. Prior to speaking with victim, police had knowledge that the Ford Ranger was involved in a hit and run incident on 8000 Apison Pike at 2 a.m., the same day as this report. The truck was later involved in a vehicle pursuit with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle pursuit ended at approximately 3:30 a.m. in Catoosa County, Georgia with the truck heavily damaged and the female driver in custody. The suspect driver from the pursuit was Sherill. The vehicle was not entered into NCIC and there are currently no East Ridge charges.
21-004995- 3635 Ringgold Road (Family Dollar)- Disorder-
The caller advised of a homeless female camped out in front of the business refusing to leave. On arrival police spoke with Christine P. She was advised to move along.
12-004996- 6741 Ringgold Road (Tennessee Carriers/First Care)- Vehicle Burglary-
The caller advised sometime over the last few days an unknown suspect entered an unlocked medical transport van and took a surveillance camera that was mounted to the vehicle. There is no other information or video of the incident.
21-005002- 1417 Saint Thomas Street (Motel 6)- Disorder-
Police observed a disorder between motel staff and a guest. The male subject was located at the Wendy’s and identified as Michael Robinson. He was checked for warrants and sent on his way with a criminal trespass warning.
21-005006- 4130 East Ridge Drive- Possible Burglary Attempt-
The caller advised on arriving home she found her dog on the front porch and the window open. On arrival police spoke with the caller. She advised she felt someone attempted to enter the residence, but her dog prevented any entry. Nothing was located on scene to process.
21-005010- 6642 Ringgold Road (Econo Lodge)- Unknown 911/Possible Disorder/Arrest-
Dispatch received a phase two 911 call from a 911 only phone. They advised they could hear a disorder then the phone hung up. A short time later a female called back in and advised of a disorder in room 117. On arrival police encountered a woman and Lindell Mayberry in the motel parking lot. On further investigation Mayberry was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault and vandalism. He was transported to 601.

Night Shift
21-005016 – 1007 Floyd Drive / Well Being Check / Arrest:
Michael Clark was arrested for violation of an order of protection following being at the residence of his victim of a domestic assault which occurred in December 2020.
21-005021 – 3657 Ringgold Road (Cascade Motel) / Assault in Progress:
Police responded to Cascades Motel after receiving a report that a white male was beating his girlfriend. Upon arrival, police observed Matthew Simpson standing over a woman and yelling at her. Further investigation revealed that he kicked in the door to their motel room, prevented her from leaving the motel, and grabbed her by the throat leaving marks around her neck that he choked. Simpson was arrested for Aggravated Assault (Domestic), False Imprisonment, and Vandalism.
21-005028/21-005030/21-005045 – 112 Ridgeside Road / Theft from a Vehicle:
Police responded to this address in reference to a theft from a vehicle call. Police arrived on scene and was contacted by three separate vehicle owners that told police between the hours of 1900 and 2115 three separate vehicle were broken into at this address. In total $500 was taken, a $90 Visa gift card, a debit card, a credit card, and a Tennessee driver’s license were stolen. A set of keys was also taken but was later located on scene. Reports on file.
21-005047 – 4300 Spriggs Road / Traffic Stop-Arrest:
Police arrested Zahra Mears for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and outstanding warrants out of Hamilton County Sessions Court during a traffic stop at this location.
