The following information was compiled from reports provided by ERPD administration.
April 14 Day Shift
100 Bales Avenue- Check Hazard-
The caller advised of people ignoring the barricades and driving across downed power lines. Upon arrival no one was located. The police tape and barricade were still in place.
1600 block of Springvale Road- Check Hazard-
The caller advised of people ignoring the barricades and driving through the high water. Upon arrival no one was located. The barricades were still in place.
1617 Glowmont Drive (Duncan Park Baptist Church)- Suspicious People-
The caller advised of a homeless person attempting to camp on the property. Upon arrival police located the male and advised him to move along. He left without incident.
950 Spring Creek Road (Spring creek Gardens)- Flooding-
The caller requested police come and look at the water in the parking lot. Police and Fire responded and spoke to the caller.
1407 Sewanee Drive- Flooding-
The caller advised of water across the roadway at this location. A road closed sign was placed.
1200 block of West End Avenue- Flooding-
The caller advised of vehicles becoming covered in water. Police were unable to get to the vehicles due to the water level.
6514 Ringgold Road (Mapco)- Unconscious Party-
Police arrived and located, Anthony D Baker, unconscious in the driver’s seat of a Nissan SUV. Police opened the driver’s door and gave Baker several unsuccessful commands to wake up. A sternum rub was conducted which roused Baker from his unconscious state. Baker became very agitated. His speech was slurred, and he could not follow simple commands. His feet and hands were constantly moving, and he was very unsteady on his feet as he exited the vehicle. A small piece of aluminum foil was observed in the driver’s seat by police. Baker stated he had recently used the foil to smoke heroin. EMS arrived on scene and transported Baker to a hospital due to the level of his impairment. Warrants will be sought for public intoxication. Portal narcotics form completed.

Night Shift
4150 Monroe St (Walmart)/ Stolen Vehicle recovery:
Philip Jackson was arrested at this location due to him being in possession of a stolen motorcycle. Police attempted to make contact with the victim but was unsuccessful the Honda CVR500R motorcycle was towed by Cannon’s Auto service.
3725 Fountain Ave Apt 67 (auto theft):
Resident called to make a report that his white 2008 Crown Victoria was taken from this location sometime in the last three days. Last seen some time three days ago, noticed it was gone around 0100 on 4/15/2020 hours. Entered into NCIC as stolen on 4/15/2020.
1000 Bass Pro Drive / Traffic Stop:
Police observed a white Lexus LX7 pull into the parking lot of Bass Pro. The vehicle did not display a registration plate on the rear of the vehicle. As the driver exited the vehicle, police informed the driver that he could not operate a vehicle in Tennessee without registration. The driver told police that he could not get it registered due to the emissions testing center was not operating. Police requested to see insurance on the vehicle which the driver could not produce. Police informed the driver that his vehicle would be towed because he could not operate the vehicle legally without registration and insurance.
6514 Ringgold Road / Shoplifting:
A MAPCO, employee told police that a white male entered the store around 22:00 and stood looking over the phone chargers. Once both clerks were serving customers, the white male took a USB phone charger and cup charger and left the store without paying. The suspect left in a 2011 White VW Jetta traveling westbound on Ringgold Road. Officers spotted the vehicle near Food City and were able to capture a TN Registration number. The vehicle was registered to Robert Allan Padgett, II, who was positively identified by the employee as the suspect after reviewing photos of Mr. Padgett. Warrants are pending on Robert Padgett for shoplifting.
1441 North Smith Street / Intoxicated Person:
Police responded to the Holiday Inn Express to investigate an intoxicated male in the lobby. Police encountered Justin Lee Wright who could not carry on a conversation and slurred his speech when he attempted to answer questions. Mr. Wright was in and out of consciousness and had to be assisted to the patrol car. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail for public Intoxication.
1417 St Thomas / Intoxicated Party:
Freddy Sanchez was arrested for public intoxication after Motel 6 staff called due to him banging on their windows. He was also charged with Retaliation for Past Actions for threatening to kill officers during transport.
409 Dunlap Ave. / Property Damage:
Police documented property damage from the storm so it could be passed along for insurance.
