The East Ridge Police Department will be holding a community meeting tonight to get citizens’ input on policing in the city.
The meeting is scheduled for July 21 at the Community Center on Tombras Avenue. It is slated to begin at 6 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m., officials said. All residents and business owners are invited.
ERPD Stan Allen said in a press release that officials will talk about some programs started over the past couple of years that the department has been unable to present to the public as a result of the pandemic.
“The Department would welcome your input as to what you would like to see us accomplish moving forward,” Chief Allen said. “Our mission is to create a safer East Ridge for our citizens and visitors by reducing crime, preserving the peace, and protecting lives and property. We will be asking for your ideas on how we get there together.”
