Fran Robertson, 63, our angel here on Earth, gained her heavenly wings on Monday, April 4, 2022. She was surrounded by her family as she was peacefully welcomed into heaven by her Lord and Savior.

Fran was born on September 23, 1958 in Chattanooga, TN. She was a devoted wife, mother and the world’s best Nonnie. If you had the privilege of knowing her, you can understand how incredibly difficult it is to find the words to adequately celebrate who she is and how much she meant to so many. She had so many God-given gifts that she stewarded so well to impact so many lives. We would love to share a few of those here as we honor her memory.

Fran had the unique ability of making everyone she encountered feel special and loved, as if you are the only person in the world who mattered. She was an eternal cheerleader and encourager, always going above and beyond to support the people in her life, even those she hardly knew. I truly believe that she never met a stranger. She loved others so BIG and so fiercely. She constantly poured out to others in the most beautiful, thoughtful way, whether it was through sweet messages, random gifts or acts of kindness.

Giving to others is what brought her joy. Her children and grandchildren may have been the biggest recipients of her love and support. She poured into everyone she knew, but especially her family. She never stopped contending for, supporting and loving her babies. Her grandchildren were the greatest loves of her life and she took every opportunity to spoil them! She would move heaven and earth for them, and they knew it. She most definitely earned the title of World’s Best Mom and World’s Best Nonnie.

Fran is possibly most well known for her outgoing personality and her colorful sense of humor. It is no surprise that in high school she won the “Miss Congeniality” award at the Chattanooga Junior Miss Pageant. Everyone who knows her can’t help but love her. A friend of the family shared that God must have really needed laughter in Heaven and He knew that she was the perfect person to bring in for the job, so He called her home. She was the life of the party!

Her brilliant smile and infectious laugh lit up every room that she walked into. You never knew what she might say and Lord knows there was never a dull moment when she was in the room. The joy and light she brought into the hearts of all who knew her will never dim. The only tears she would want would be the tears that come from laughing at the jokes we remember her telling over the years, some over and over and over.

Fran is a proud graduate of East Ridge High School, Class of 1976. She loved her time in the marching band at East Ridge and carried that love of music and marching band on as she watched her grandson, Noah, march for the Legion of Generals at Heritage High School.

She was an incredible softball player and made so many lifelong friendships throughout her years of playing ball. She was well known for her incredible pitching arm and made countless memories with her Dad, Phil, as he coached her. A few of her many softball accomplishments include being a member of the Chandler Fabric softball team that went to the national tournament in Shawnee Mission, Kansas and being a member of the National Champion Provident Vets in 1978.

Fran started her career in the investment world in 1987 at J.C. Bradford. In 1998, her team joined Raymond James. She has faithfully served her clients there, alongside her best friend, Julie Davis, and their incredible team of advisors and support staff for the last 24 years. Fran was one of the hardest working, most caring and compassionate people you could ever meet. Her servant’s heart was one of the many assets she brought into her work life in her role as Client Services Manager at Round Table Advisors of Raymond James.

Her clients meant the world to her, second only to her family. She loved her job and was amazing at it. She was respected by everyone she worked with and admired for her work ethic and the way she took care of her clients. She did this in the same way she took care of everyone who stepped into her life.

No one was the same after having met Fran, and she was someone whom you never forgot after you met her. Fran was preceded in death by her father, Philip E. Davis; grandparents Jimmy and Jeanette DeMayo and Clarence and Pauline Davis; brother-in-law, Mark Robertson; cousin Annie Easter; and her beloved dog, Ike.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Scott Robertson, her mother, Theresa Davis, her mother-in-law, Hazel Robertson, her daughter, Jennifer (Jay) Leach, her son, Danny Robertson, her brother, Tony (Mary) Davis, her honorary sister, Julie (John) Davis, her three grandchildren, Noah and Abby Leach and Isaac Robertson, her sister-in-law, Becky (Robert) McBride, brother-in-law, Rick (Beth) Robertson, brother-in-law, David Robertson, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends from 3-8 pm on Friday, April 8th at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel. The funeral mass will be on Saturday, April 9th, at 11am, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Celebrants of the service will be her beloved nephews, Father Frassati Davis, OP and Father Tony Davis. A private interment for immediate family will follow the service at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
