East Ridge police are investigating the armed robbery of the Burger King on Tuesday evening.
According to a department “pass along report,” officers responded to the business at 6404 Ringgold Road on a reported armed robbery. Police spoke with multiple employees who advised a man had brandished a firearm, ordered money put into a bag then locked all the employees inside a freezer before fleeing.
The report states that the suspect is believed to have fled the area on foot. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as six-feet tall with an average build. He was wearing a ski mask, dark blue hoodie and blue jeans.
Investigators responded to the scene and reviewed security camera footage. The incident is currently under investigation.
