County Sets Record on COVID Hospitalization

77 Patients in County Intensive Care Units

According to the Hamilton County Health Department, on Monday, Aug. 30, there were a record 261 people hospitalized in the county for COVID-19. Seventy-seven people were in are hospital Intensive Care Units.

Over the three days of Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 781 new cases of COVID were reported, statistics showed. The total number of people who have contracted the virus since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 54,357. As of Monday, 554 people have died from COVID.

There have been 3,254 cases reported in East Ridge since the beginning of the pandemic. The current number of cases stood at 193.
