The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports” provided by the administration.
August 11 Day Shift
21-011480- 6710 Ringgold Road (Best Western)- Vehicle Burglary-
The complainant called to advise an unknown suspect broke into her 2016 Jeep Cherokee sometime between 2030 on August 10th and 0630 on August 11, 2021. The victim stated a blue Swiss bag with clothing and personal items were removed from her rear storage area. She also reported a plastic bag of food items was missing too. Entry was through a rear passenger window. Police also spoke with the hotel manager on duty who advised the security camera footage could be reviewed when a certain employee returned to work.
21-011481- 1510 Maxwell Road (Post Office)- Unconscious Person-
Police responded with Fire and EMS on an unconscious white female in the lot. Once on scene police spoke with the female and identified her. The woman advised she was just sleeping.
21-011483- 1523 Keeble Street (Hide Away Storage)- Burglary/Theft-
The complainant called to report the burglary of his storage unit. He advised sometime over the past month someone had entered his storage unit and stole his black 2002 Harley Davidson 883, and a 2000 psi pressure washer. He advised the unknown suspect removed his lock and replaced it with a different one. Management advised they would review video footage and provide it to police. The motorcycle was entered in NCIC.
21-011484- 932 Spring Creek Road (East Ridge Eye Center)- Wellbeing Check-
The caller advised of an unattended toddler in the parking lot. Once on scene police checked the area with no toddlers located.
21-011489- 1514 Rebecca Drive (Vacant Lot)- Suspicious Activity)-
The caller advised an unknown male was detailing cars in the vacant lot. She requested police have the male leave the property. Once on scene police spoke to the male, he was advised to leave per the property owner.

Night Shift
4348 Ringgold Road / Unconscious Person (21-011513):
Police were called regarding two males unconscious in a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene to find Fred Mclain and Albert Dawson, who were sleeping in the vehicle. Mclain was issued a misdemeanor citation for simple possession and Dawson was transported to Silverdale on Whitfield County warrants.
21-011512 / 400 block Bluebird Circle- (Arrest) –
Police were dispatched to this location after a female called crying stating her son attacked her. Upon arrival police met with a female subject who was inside her home crying. She advised her son got angry and choked her and grabbed her by the arms, took her phones and locked her inside the home. Police helped her out the window for her safety. The son, 34-year-old Matthew Evan Burks, came outside the home a few minutes later where he was detained and then arrested for Domestic Assault and Interference with Emergency Calls.
