May 13– Day Shift
6808 Martha Avenue (vehicle burglary):
Complainant stated someone entered his unlocked truck during the night and stole his Sccy 9mm handgun. No suspect information. (21-006602)
6215 Dayton Blvd. (warrant service):
Courtney Watkins was taken into custody at the Hamilton County Probation Office on an active East Ridge warrant and transported to the county jail. (21-006621)
1100 Spring Creek Road (deceptive practice):
A teacher received a call from a person claiming to be with the HCSO saying she had warrants for her arrest for missing jury duty. She was instructed to drive to the courthouse and pay her fine with gift cards. After leaving for the courthouse, co-workers and family became nervous when they could not reach her. She was found safe at home. Also, she did give the caller several hundred dollars by phone. (21-006629)
1519 Prigmore Road (scam):
The homeowner received a call from a person claiming to be with the water company. The caller made an appointment with the homeowner to test the water next week. The resident contacted the water company and was told it was a scam and to refuse the service if anyone comes to the home. (21-006636)
6955 Glen Errol Way (vehicle burglary):
Complainant reported the theft of a gray faux-leather cross-body purse from her vehicle sometime overnight. The complainant advised a gray iPhone 10 with a cracked case and her generic prescription were inside the stolen purse. (21-006612)
429 Frawley Rd (found property):
Reporting party said they found a tan/beige Kate Spade purse in the roadway at this location. The item may possibly belong to a victim from recent vehicle burglaries in the area. (21-006606)
6904 Glen Errol Way (found property):
Police located a gray w/ green lining Eddie Bauer diaper bag/backpack on the street in front of this residence. Due to several recent vehicle burglaries in the area the item was retrieved for safekeeping. (21-006608)
6650 Ringgold Road (vehicle burglary):
The complainant stated someone had broken into his work truck at the Laquinta Inn between 20:30 hrs on 05/11/2021 and 09:00 hrs on 05/12/2021. Complainant stated a $120 marine battery was stolen. (21-006605)
34 Frawley Road (vehicle burglary):
Complainant stated that someone stole items from her vehicle sometime overnight. She said the items taken were in a baby blue North Face backpack. Complainant stated her planner, HP work laptop and her black Walther CCP 9mm were among the items taken. The handgun was entered into NCIC. (21-006613)
6712 Ringgold Road (vandalism):
Reporting party/property manager of Public Storage, stated someone damaged the door hasps of nine units sometime between 05/11/2021 and 05/13/2021 totaling $360 worth of damaged hardware. RP advised that units D01A, DO1B, DO1D, DO1E, DO1F, DO1G, DO1H,DO1I and DO1J were the units tampered with. Management contacted the renters of the units asking them to review their items. (21-006623)
501 Cedar Glen Circle (vehicle burglary):
Complainant stated her vehicle was entered overnight, and her black Ruger LCP .380 was stolen. The handgun was entered into NCIC. (21-006635) One area resident’s ring door bell recorded a grey or silver sedan, occupied by three males, pulling door handles last night on the east side of town.

May 13 –Night Shift
326 Cedar Glen Dr (Theft from a Vehicle 21-006644):
Reporting party stated their handgun was stolen from their vehicle overnight.
700 S Germantown (Fail to Stop 21-006646):
Officers observed a black Nissan Rogue being driven very recklessly on Germantown Rd. Police attempted to identify the registration plate and stop the vehicle on S Terrace. The vehicle fled at high rate of speed striking a curb and causing potentially disabling damage to the front tires. The vehicle continued to flee police north on I-75. Officers deactivated all emergency equipment and abandoned efforts to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was observed continuing north on I-75 and exiting at Hamilton Place Mall. Officers responded a short time later to an address in East Brainerd where the vehicle was located. Witnesses stated three black males exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A bag of suspected pressed fentanyl pills was located in the driver’s door and a handgun was located on I-75 North that was discarded from the vehicle. Warrants pending identification of the driver.
6500 Ringgold Rd (Disorder 21-006649):
Police responded to a verbal disorder between two motorists. One of the parties claimed an object flew from the other motorist’s vehicle and struck their windshield.
601 Walnut St (Warrant 21-006653):
Allison McKenzie was arrested on East Ridge warrants at the Hamilton County Jail.
4150 Monroe St (Noise Complaint 21-006659):
Officers responded to Walmart Neighborhood Market after receiving calls from citizens in the area complaining of loud construction work on the building. Contractors supplied police with permits from East Ridge City Codes to conduct improvements and construction on the building and noted the business was in a commercial zone not residential.
2011 Schmidt Rd (Suspicious Activity 21-006658):
Several calls in the area from residents hearing dogs barking and what they believed to be a couple of gunshots.
2000 block Myrtle Ave (21-006660):
Officers located the source of the gunshots at 2011 Schmidt Rd came from 2011 Myrtle Ave. An elderly male subject suffering from multiple physical issues that also cause dementia had discharged a firearm in his back yard. The party then went to his bedroom and refused his wife’s pleadings to disarm. Police made contact with the party and convinced him to leave the room and speak with authorities. Officers seized the weapon for safekeeping. His spouse was to follow-up with health care providers to determine a course of care.
6300 Ringgold Rd (DUI 21-006662):
Marquell Dunham was taken into custody for DUI during a traffic stop.

May 14 – Day Shift
21-006664- 3325 Ringgold Road (Mr. Zip)- Alarm/Burglary-
Police responded to check the business. On arrival the front door glass was found busted out. Officers cleared the business, but no one was inside. Once the owner arrived the surveillance footage was reviewed. It showed a male driving a dark color Kia Soul with no tag park in front of the business around 05:42 hours. He exited the car, smashed the glass, then entered the store. Once inside he attempted entry into the office area, but the door was locked. He then fled the store empty handed.
21-006557-3120 13th Avenue- Recovered Auto-
A 2016 Nissan Rogue stolen from 3709 Mary Anna Drive was recovered abandoned at this location while CPD was investigating a shots fired call. Two juveniles were located walking in the immediate area by Housing Authority Police but were released. Both have a history involving stolen vehicles.
21-006667- 4006 Bennett Road- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of an elderly male sitting on her porch with a swollen ankle. On arrival police spoke with the male. He requested police transport him to the Brainard Walmart. His request was granted.
21-006670- 5312 Ringgold Road (Floor Images Inc.)- Bad Checks-
The caller advised he received three bad checks. On arrival police spoke with the business owners. They advised the checks were fraudulently cashed at the business. Later in the shift the suspect, Andres Salas Gomez returned to the business. Police responded back and after further investigation Gomez was arrested and charged with criminal simulation. Other charges are pending.
21-006671- 31 Woodard Circle- Theft-
The caller advised three bicycles were stolen from this address. On arrival police spoke to the owner. He advised he observed three unknown white males on his surveillance system steal the bikes at around 01:30 on 5-13-21.
21-006675- 950 Spring Creek Road #116 (Spring Creek Gardens)- Shots Fired-
Bryson Ziegenfelt was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and vandalism after he shot up his apartment. He was transported to 601 without incident.
21-006677- 5707 Ringgold Road (Dollar General)- Theft-
Police spoke with the complainant via phone in reference to a theft. She stated at around 13:19 hrs, an unknown female took two lawn chairs that were on display in front of the store without paying for them. She left the scene in a gray Chevy pickup.
21-006684- 3100 blk of Ringgold Road (Tunnels)- Check Hazard-
The caller advised of a truck stuck in the tunnel. On arrival police blocked traffic while the truck was pulled from the tunnel.

May 14 – Night Shift
21-006689 3635 Ringgold Road / Family Dollar / Shoplifting:
Police responded to this location about a shoplifting call. Four unknown females exited the store with multiple shopping baskets filled with merchandise and fled the scene in a grey Dodge Charger TN 2X7-3G7 before police arrival.
1300 Spring Creek Rd – Misdemeanor Citation – 21-006704 –
Cedric Norwood was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest for simple possession of cocaine during a traffic stop at this location.
631 Camp Jordan Pkwy – Arrest – 21-006711 –
Jesse Gibson was arrested for public intoxication during a consensual encounter at this location.
Ringgold Rd & Mack Smith (Traffic stop 21-006688):
Police attempted to stop a W/M on a black motorcycle with no tag at this location. Upon seeing police exit our patrol vehicle, the suspect proceeded to enter traffic and flee from police.
728 Frawley Road (Aggravated Domestic Assault 21-006687):
Police responded to a domestic assault at this location. Dwayne Powell was arrested for aggravated domestic assault and false imprisonment.
400 Frawley Road/DUI(21-006713):
Police observed a silver Camaro driving recklessly on Frawley Road. Robert Franklin was arrested for DUI and Reckless Driving.
21-006691/5517 Ringgold Road/ Delayed Assault:
Complainant reported that while doing laundry at the Maytag Coin Laundry with his juvenile son a Hispanic male, later identified as Gaspar Cruz Francisco-Juarez, entered the facility brandished a knife, and began cursing in Spanish. Complainant, fearing for he and his son’s safety, placed his body between his son and the suspect. The suspect left the building and entered a Gray Toyota Forerunner, TN Tag CCB683, with his brother Jose Louis Francisco-Juarez and left the scene, direction of travel eastbound on Ringgold Road. Warrants are pending for Aggravated Assault and Accessory.
21-006693/ 1600 Springvale Road/ Shots Fired:
Police received a report of six to 10 shots being fired in the area near Springvale Road/Vera Beach Drive/ and Stateline Road. Police spoke to the residents on Hope Road, who stated that it sounded like Vera Beach Road. Police were unable to locate the source of gunfire.
