The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.
May 10 Day Shift
21-006433- 941 Spring Creek Road (Parkridge East)-
Runaway Patient/Wellbeing Check- The caller advised a male subject fled the ER with an IV still in his arm. Police responded and checked the area. The man was not located.
21-006439- Spriggs Street @ McBrien Road- Wellbeing Check-
The caller advised of a male in a wheelchair having trouble navigating the roadway. Police responded and assisted him home.
21-006441- 6900 block Moreview Road- Disorder-
The caller advised he was involved in a verbal disorder with his ex-girlfriend. On arrival the couple was encouraged to separate for the day.
21-006442- 3330 Ringgold Road (King Audio)- Noise Complaint-
The caller advised of loud bass music at the business. On arrival police did not hear any exceptionally loud music. Police spoke with the owner and advised him of the complaint.
21-006445- 6650 Ringgold Road (La Quinta Inn)- Recovered Auto-
While on patrol police observed a white Dodge Charger abandoned on the lot. The vehicle was found to have been possibly associated with a shots-fired incident in Chattanooga. CPD was contacted along with East Ridge CSU. This is still under investigation.
21-006448- 3400 Gail Drive #38- Stolen Registration-
Police took a phone report from the complainant regarding a stolen license plate. He advised his license plate was stolen off his 2020 Hyundai Kona sometime between 2100 hours on 5-7-21 and 0530 hours on 5-8-21. The plate, WI 945GCT, was entered into NCIC as stolen.
21-006449- 5000 block Newport Drive- Scam Call-
Complainant called to report she received an automated phone call advising her social security card was involved in fraudulent activity. The automated instructions told the woman to push 1 for more information. The phone call was then re-directed to a male voice who asked for a report number. The complainant stated she did not provide the male caller or the automated service with any information and she hung up. The identity of the male caller was unknown at the time of the report and the phone call appeared to be a potential scam attempt.
21-006452- 6701 Ringgold Road (Sunrise Market)- Auto Theft-
The caller advised an unknown white male stole her car and fled north on I-75. The vehicle is a tan color Chevy Monte Carlo (unknown tag). On arrival police spoke to the victim. She was unable to provide a VIN or tag number for the vehicle. She advised she would call back with the information so the vehicle can be entered in NCIC.
21-006453- 6725 Ringgold Road (Chattanooga Mercantile)- Burglary-
The complainant called to report a delayed Burglary. The complainant stated on today’s date between 0620 and 1000 hours an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a locked back door and damaged part of the security system to prevent the alarm from going off. At this time, it is unclear if any items inside the business were stolen. The complainant believes the suspect(s) to be homeless. He advised police on 5/9/21 between 1805 and 1808 hours an attempt was made to break in another back door however it was unsuccessful but he did not report the incident.
21-006456- 4338 Ringgold Road (Food Lion)- Explosion-
Police were dispatched with Fire regarding a possible vehicle explosion. On arrival Fire determined a gas can in the truck bed exploded and caused a small gas spill. Management decided to call for a tow truck to remove the vehicle an older model Ford F250.
21-006457- 4400 Bennett Road (East Ridge Middle)- Assault-
The caller advised her 14-year-old daughter was assaulted by another student at school today. Report on file.
21-006458- 879 Belvoir Crest Drive- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised while checking security camera footage she observed an unknown person in her back yard around 0658 hours this morning. She requested an extra watch in the neighborhood.
21-006459- Warrant Service-
Lindsey Shaw was arrested on an East Ridge warrant at 601.

Night Shift
6700 Ringgold Road – Welfare Check/FI – 21-006466 –
Police responded to check the well-being of a female who appeared to be nodding off in a vehicle. Police contacted the female who was identified. She stated she was waiting for a friend to go out to eat. As police conversed with her, she continually contradicted her own statements about her activities. She stated that her friend rented her room at the hotel.
4300 Ringgold Road / Traffic Stop (21-006471):
Kaitlin Watts was arrested on Hamilton County warrants.
21-006484 4222 Ringgold Road / Traffic Stop / Arrest / AOA:
Amy Ledbetter was arrested for Criminal Impersonation, tampering with evidence, Resisting Arrest, Possession of SCH II, Simple Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Following a traffic stop at this location. Ledbetter was also arrested for multiple active warrants through Hamilton County Sessions Court.
6500 Ringgold Rd/DUI 21-6488:
Ms. Sydney Burton arrested for DUI at this location. Robert Carpenter arrested for possession of handgun under the influence, simple possession, and possession of schedule IV.
