The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” furnished by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.
April 20 Day Shift
601 Walnut Street (warrant service):
Jason Smith was arrested by U.S. Marshals on an active East Ridge warrant for filing false reports from an incident which occurred yesterday. (21-005364)
6700 Ringgold Road (drug arrest):
Police were called to the Quality Inn about a suspected drug dealer arriving at the motel. Police located Terrance Watkins who gave police permission to search his vehicle which resulted in the location of thirty pressed Oxycontin pills which tested positive for fentanyl. Watkins was arrested for the drugs, and his associate, Lindsay Reece, was arrested on Hamilton County warrants. (21-005417)
517 S. Lovell Avenue (property damage):
Police responded after a neighbor reported seeing the front door broken apart and standing open. The residence was locked and secured, but the glass storm door was lying on the porch broken apart. The house is currently unoccupied, and police could not determine if the damage was intentional or accidental. (21-005416)
3300 block Frawley Street (deceptive practice):
The complainant reported being the victim of a confidence scam after giving money to a party she met in a Facebook Group Page called “La Yarda Latina de Chattanooga tn.” The victim stated she was told if she paid half of the money she owed for her car title to the subject, they would then pay the rest of the money to Title Max and her debt would be clear. Night Shift
4152 Ringgold Rd (Aggravated Assault 21-005428):
Police responded to the Bojangles on report of a red Ford Mustang striking a party who was sealing the parking lot. Officers arrived and made contact with the victim who stated an older white male became upset with him when he advised the male that Bojangles was closed. He said the male then drove in his direction striking him and dragging him across the parking lot. The suspect later returned to the area and police took Ronnie Proctor into custody for aggravated assault.
5300 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-005429):
While officers were searching for the aggravated assault suspect from Bojangles they observed a Mustang matching the description of the suspect vehicle. Officers initiated a traffic stop and the driver immediately exited the vehicle and threw a methamphetamine pipe into a grassy area behind him. The subject, Joshua Harrison, refused to comply with police commands. Harrison was tased and taken into custody. He was charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
601 Walnut St (Warrant Arrest 21-001859):
Garin Gardner was booked on multiple East Ridge warrants at the Hamilton County Jail.
1517 Tombras Ave (AOA Warrant 21-005435):
Darron Johnson was detained during East Ridge Court on Hamilton County warrants and transported to the jail.
6519 Ringgold Rd (Theft 21-005433):
Police took a delayed theft from vehicle report. The complainant requested a report due to an unknown suspect entering her vehicle overnight and stealing a large number of tools.
4338 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-005432):
Joseph Goforth was taken into custody for violating a temporary order of protection, DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia following a road rage incident.
1417 St Thomas (Unconscious Party 21-005439):
Officers observed an active verbal disorder in the parking lot of Motel 6 . One of the participants in the disorder John Walling was found to have active warrants through Hamilton County Criminal Court. He was detained and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
300 Camp Jordan Pkwy (Unconscious Party 21-005440):
Police responded to reports of an unconscious 45-year-old female. While officers were en route the status of the call was upgraded to CPR in progress. Officers arrived on scene administered a dose of Narcan and continued CPR until EMS arrived. The female was transported to Parkridge East Hospital.
1200 S Seminole (DUI 21-005456):
Ervin Castillo Lopez was taken into custody for DUI and driving while suspended during a traffic stop.
100 I75 N (Fail to Stop 21-005458):
Police attempted to stop a black Jeep traveling at a high rate of speed through the construction zone on I-75. The Jeep failed to stop for officers.
