21-001436- 1410 Mack Smith Road (Budgetel)- Delayed Assault-
Police responded to 106 Bledsoe Terrace in the city of Chattanooga, to speak with a woman regarding a delayed assault. Upon arrival the woman advised she had been staying with her daughter at the motel (different rooms) for about three weeks. The woman stated over the course of three weeks, she and her daughter have been “arguing” and “fighting” mutually. The woman stated on 2-1-21 at approximately 1600 hours the two got into a heated verbal argument that led to the daughter allegedly striking her in the face and “poured coke in her hair”. The woman stated that argument/confrontation lasted about three hours, resulting in her leaving the motel and walking to her granddaughter’s residence on Bledsoe Terrace. The woman advised she did not call police to inform on the matter until today, because “she didn’t want anyone to get in trouble”. On scene, a minor scratch on the woman’s head was observed, along with bruising on her hand, in which police were unable to determine if they were defensive or offensive in nature. Police attempted to contact the daughter via phone but received no answer. Due to the delay in reporting and the woman’s stating that over the course of three weeks mutual combat had been occurring between the two, police were unable to determine a primary aggressor. No charges will be filed at this time.
