UPDATE II: Chief Allen said Monday afternoon that the suspect, a male, remains at-large. The suspect, Chief Allen said, was acquainted with the victim. When asked if the victim’s injuries were life-threatening, Chief Allen said Erlanger hospital does not divulge the condition of patients.
UPDATE: East Ridge Police Chief Stan Allen said late Sunday afternoon that a suspect has been identified in the crime but has yet to be taken into custody. The nature of the stabbing was domestic related. The weapon used was a broken bottle.
East Ridge police are investigating an early-morning stabbing that happened on Bales Avenue.
According to Hamilton County dispatch, officers were called to 112 Bales Avenue at 4:15 a.m. on Sunday.
Assistant Police Chief Clint Uselton said the male victim had suffered multiple stab wounds. He was taken by EMS to Erlanger Medical Center. Chief Uselton said he does not know what condition the victim is in.
Officials said the investigation into the incident is continuing.
