Authorities are investigating a stabbing of an inmate at Silverdale.

According to a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office press release, an inmate was stabbed on Wednesday morning at the Silverdale Detention Center.

Detectives confirmed one inmate was stabbed and transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

Detectives are currently on scene at CoreCivic and investigating.
