The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
November 19 – Day Shift
4108 Greenbriar Road- AOA/Burglary-
A woman called police after seeing smoke coming from her neighbor’s apartment. The woman and her young daughter evacuated and remained at a safe distance. Responders arrived on scene and were able to get the fire extinguished. No one was inside at the time of the incident. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by East Ridge Fire Department Arson Investigators. During the investigation, it was discovered that several items were taken from the home. The fire is currently being investigated as Arson by ERFD personnel. Additional offense of Aggravated Burglary will be added to this report.
1404 South Moore Road- Property Damage-
Upon arrival, police spoke with the homeowner. He advised when he woke up this morning and stepped outside, he noticed that a bedroom window was busted out. He stated the window appeared to have a circular hole in the center of the break. The homeowner searched the area and found a blue marble in the grass under the window.
4348 Ringgold Road (Sonic)- Disorder-
The caller advised of an irate customer in the drive through refusing to move. On police arrival the customer was gone.
4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service-
Cynthia Gray came to the police department to turn herself in on three outstanding East Ridge Forfeiture Capias warrants. The defendant was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
1665 Waterhouse Street- Theft-
The complainant reported an unknown person in an unknown vehicle took his backpack while it was sitting under a tree. No other information given.

November 19 –Night Shift
6642 Ringgold Road / Drug Paraphernalia:
Betsy Debord was issued a misdemeanor citation in leu of arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia at this location during a child abandon call.
4300 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:
Amanda Mcbryar was arrested for warrants out of Hamilton County during a traffic stop at this location.
1453 Mack Smith Road / Drug paraphernalia:
Savannah Stephenson was issued a misdemeanor citation in leu of arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia at this location during a traffic stop.
6650 Ringgold Road / Child Found:
A 3-year-old child was found wandering around the parking lot of the La Quinta Inn without a jacket or shoes. The child’s parents were located at the Econo Lodge a short time later. It was found that the child was left with his father, Rocky McCabe, while his mother went to the store. While on scene Rocky was found with 8.1 grams of methamphetamine and a glass pipe. He was charged with possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, and child endangerment and transported to the jail.
1123 State Line Rd / D.U.I:
Officers working the national click it or ticket campaign arrested Jamison Phibbs, following a traffic stop. Charges are D.U.I, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, schedule II (Cocaine), simple possession, and drug paraphernalia.
123 Kingwood Drive / Evading Arrest-DUI –
Bruce Stevenson Chatman fled from police on foot during a traffic stop at this residence. He was apprehended a short time later. He was charged with Evading, DUI 3rd, Suspended DL 2nd, Schedule II & Drug Paraphernalia.

November 20 – Day Shift
4214 Ringgold Road (theft):
The complainant reported the theft of her semi-auto .22 caliber pistol from her car after a car crash last week. The pistol was entered into NCIC.
1628 John Ross Road (FI):
Field interviews were conducted on two individuals after police found them lurking around this abandoned property. Codes was notified of the deteriorated condition of the property.
3335 Ringgold Road (property damage):
The complainant discovered a window broken out at his business, EPG Homes, last Sunday. The complainant stated he found a marble lying among the broken glass. No suspect information is available.
1600 Springvale Road (suspicious vehicle):
Two juveniles were located in a vehicle at this location. They were found to be students of ERHS, and both were transported back to school and turned over to school administrators.
482 McBrien Road (theft from vehicle):
The complainant reported the overnight theft of the catalytic converter belonging to his daughter’s 2004 Honda Accord which had been left in the lot of At Home. No suspect information is available.

November 20 – Night Shift
4338 Ringgold Rd (Fight 20-015352):
Police were dispatched to the Food Lion parking-lot in reference to a large fight. Officers arrived and made contact with April W. and Khadija K. It was determined there was no fight but rather domestic disorder. Both were very uncooperative with officers. Report on file.
4222 Ringgold Rd (Property damage 20-015349):
Jarques Howard was operating a vehicle that made contact with a fuel pump causing minor damage to the pump and his vehicle. He was cited for driving without a license and no insurance.
2173 Dugan St (Assist Fire 20-015355):
Police responded with fire on an odor investigation. Nothing hazardous was found by fire or police. Dispatch continued to receive phone calls from the RP throughout the night stating she could still smell a foul odor.
5300 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 20-015356):
Sabrina Gass was once again taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail for driving while suspended.
5418 Ringgold Rd (Suspicious Activity):
Owner of Apollo Car Wash called police stating he was currently watching live security camera footage of a male party attempting to access the coin machine at the car wash. Police made contact with a party who denied the accusation.
