The economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has recently created a strain on the resources of The East Ridge Community Food Pantry. We realize that times are hard for everyone, but you can help the food pantry meet the needs of the many families it serves, even if you can’t afford to give a monetary donation.
Jon Lakamp, local State Farm Agent, has generously offered to donate $10 to our local community food pantry for every person who calls and simply gets a quick, no obligation, competitive quote on either their home, auto or renters insurance. Just answer a few questions, get a quote and a $10 donation will be made in your name to help those in need.
Please call 423-894-5568 and ask for Alicia. Current State Farm policy holders are not eligible.
The East Ridge Community Food Pantry operated by the East Ridge United Methodist Church at 1601 Prater Road serves between 500-600 people each month. The mission of the pantry which was started in March 2015 is to provide help in a time of need. They are able to do this with the help of volunteers and community sponsors and are able to provide self-stable foods along with meat, produce, bread, and pastries to assist families in stretching their food dollars. The pantry is open the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and serves the Chattanooga and North Georgia communities.
