The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
Aug. 26 Day Shift
6701 Ringgold Road (Sunrise Market)- Auto Theft- The caller advised his vehicle was stolen from the lot while he was inside the business. Shortly after police arrival in the area the vehicle was found in the lot of the OYO. Officers were able to determine a suspect and warrants are pending.
1473 Mack Smith Road (Coin Laundry)- Suspicious Person-
The caller requested police assistance in running off homeless parties hanging out in the laundromat. Upon arrival the parties were advised to leave the property. A short time later police were summoned back due to the homeless not moving on. Upon arrival the parties left the property.
5080 South Terrace (AMC)- Suspicious Activity-
While on patrol police discovered a homeless camp set up in the dumpster area behind the theater. Upon inspection no one was located but several personal items were observed. Theater management was advised.
3604 Ida Belle Lane- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised a white male wearing a black cape was sitting in a white van in front of this address. He was gone upon police arrival.
6400 Ringgold Road (Tip Top)- Wellbeing Check-
The caller advised of a male laying in the grass not moving. Upon arrival officers spoke to the male. He advised he was ok.
3511 Ringgold Road (RnR Tire)- Narcotics-
The caller advised he found a baggie in the lobby of the business containing possible meth. Upon arrival police collected the baggie and entered it in property and evidence.
1707 Keeble Street (Sonny’s)- Disorder-
The caller advised two males were arguing at the business. Upon arrival the two had stopped their argument. They went their separate ways.
6501 Ringgold Road (BB&T Bank)- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of a white male in a white van beating his dog. Upon arrival the male and his dog were gone.
1417 Saint Thomas Avenue (Motel 6)-Auto Theft Recovery-
Police responded to an assault in progress at the Motel 6 involving a male and a female. On scene, police located the individuals and identified them as Courtney Smith and Kendal K. Smith and Kendal both stated that an assault did not occur, and the argument was verbal only. Police then determined that a silver Hyundai SUV associated with Smith was stolen out of Chattanooga. In addition, the Georgia plate on the vehicle was stolen. Smith had possession of the vehicle key and stated that he obtained the SUV from a friend two days ago. Smith was taken into custody for possession of stolen property and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:
Jerry Collins Jr. was served with three East Ridge Warrants at the Hamilton County Jail.
4100 Ringgold Road/FI/Gang Validation:
An Outlaw Motorcycle Club Member was encountered during a traffic stop at this location. He advised several members were meeting at a local bar.
3300 Shadowlawn Dr/Trafic:
Tobin Shaw was arrested during a traffic stop for driving on revoked and misuse of registration.
3400 Gail Dr. #29 / Burglary In Progress:
Police responded to this location in reference to a burglary in progress where a woman reported Joshua Davis had kicked in her back door and threatened to kill her. Davis has been involved in several other incidents with the woman as the victim at this same location. The woman was able to escape from Davis to a safe place. Upon police arrival the suspect had already left the scene and police did not locate him. A BOLO was issued for Davis and his vehicle (a black Accura sedan with a temp tag) and warrants are being sought for aggravated burglary.
3121 Old Ringgold Road / disorder:
Police responded to this address to discover Tomas Lira standing in the middle of a public roadway, staggering from intoxication. Mr. Lira was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
