The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by ERPD.
August 22 – Day Shift
420 South Seminole Drive- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of a white male banging on his door and requested police check on him. While en route, another caller from 721 South Seminole advised the male party was at their front door. Police located the male and identified him. The man advised he was running from gang members and just wanted to ask the homeowner for some water. Police spoke with the homeowner who advised she wanted the man to leave but did not want him trespassed. He was checked for warrants and sent on his way.
701 Summit Avenue- Aggravated Domestic Assault-
Upon arrival, police located a woman sitting on her front porch with a large laceration on her left temple. EMS arrived and transported her to Parkridge East where police conducted an interview. The woman advised she and her ex-boyfriend, Demario Fountain, got into an argument stemming from his jealousy. During the argument, the woman advised Fountain slapped her on the right side of her mouth with an open palm. She stated this put her in fear for her life, so she ran to the kitchen and retrieve a cooking pot and a knife. She stated she then ran to a nearby bathroom to get away. The woman stated Fountain took the knife from her hands and dropped it. She then began screaming for help before Fountain took the pot from her and struck her with it approximately three times on her head. The woman’s injuries were documented on police body camera.
6700 Ringgold Road (Quality Inn #150)- Domestic Assault-
The victim stated her ex-boyfriend hit her multiple times on the left side of her face with a closed fist last night sometime around 9 PM at an unknown location somewhere around Chattanooga, TN. The ex-boyfriend left the scene with his last known destination being Atlanta, GA. Police did see a small cut and swelling on the victim’s left eye socket. EMS arrived on scene and the victim denied transport but was cleared.
6404 Ringgold Road (Wendy’s)- Unconscious Person-
Police received a call about a male unconscious in the parking lot. Upon arrival officers made contact and found the male sleeping. He advised he was ok. Later in the shift a second caller advised of an unconscious person in the lot. Upon arrival it was found to be the same person sleeping in his vehicle.
510 Notre Dame Avenue- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of a white male door to door soliciting in the area. Upon arrival police spoke to the male. He was advised to obtain a permit and sent on his way.
4222 Ringgold Road (Speedway)-Assist a Citizen-
While on patrol a Hispanic male, later identified as Clinton Vicente, approached police. Vicente wanted police to help after he accidentally locked his car while getting gas and his three-year-old daughter was in the car. Upon Vicente’s approval police broke a small driver side back window. The juvenile had moved to the front seat away from the window and the back window was a safe window to break. After police shattered the window Vicente was able to reach in and open the door. The juvenile female was safe and without any visible conditions that would cause a need for EMS. Vicente cleaned the car and buckled the juvenile back into her car seat and left the scene without any further incident.

August 22 – Night Shift
6513 Ringgold Road / Shots Fired:
Police responded to the Waffle House on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival police discovered a window on the front of the establishment had been damaged from what appeared to be a bullet. There was a party on scene who sustained minor injuries from the glass but refused medical care. No witnesses heard any shots and officers were not able to find a casing nor any parts of the projectile inside the business.
3508 Ringgold Road (Walgreens) / Shoplifting:
Two Black females entered Walgreens store, grabbed two shopping carts and made their way to the beer cooler. The two suspects loaded up approximately 12 cases of beer and left the store without paying. They loaded into a grey Dodge Charger and turned westbound onto Ringgold Road last seen heading towards the tunnels. Suspect #1 was wearing a black t-shirt, black leggings while suspect #2 wore tie dye t-shirt with matching shorts.
3626 Ringgold Rd / Disorder:
Marlise Harrison was arrested for driving on revoked for DUI after police had been called twice due to her causing a disorder at this address by arguing with her husband.
1355 Ridgefield Cir. / Shots Fired:
Caller reported two shots fired in front of his home and reported seeing a small dark blue or black sedan leave the area at a high rate of speed. Given the little description of the suspect vehicle officers were not able to locate or bolo the suspects. No casings or holes were found.
601 Walnut St/Warrant Arrest:
Demarcus K. Mackey arrested on CAPIAS warrant.

August 23 – Day Shift
Warrant Service-
Savannah Parsons was arrested on East Ridge warrants after an encounter with Chattanooga police. She was picked up and transported to 601.
406 Donaldson Road- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised she observed two females behind her house using drugs. Upon arrival the females and their vehicle were gone. The caller feels they were coming from 408 Donaldson Road.
6708 Ringgold Road (Circle K)- Suspicious People-
The caller advised of a male and female in a white Kia using drugs. Upon arrival the vehicle was gone. Unknown on the direction of travel.
1417 Saint Thomas Street (Motel 6)- Disorder-
The caller, Mercury cab driver, called to advise a customer was refusing to pay. Upon police arrival the customer decided to pay the fare.
6303 Ringgold Road (Shur Shine)- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised a white male on a bicycle was disturbing customers. Upon arrival officers contacted the male. He was checked for warrants and sent on his way.

August 23 – Night Shift
5304 Anderson Avenue / Theft from a Vehicle:
The resident reported that sometime during the overnight hours, an unknown suspect stole several tools from his truck and the toolbox mounted in the bed. Current assessment valued the stolen items at $750. The resident continues to inventory his tools to identify what was taken. He will submit a more accurate list once inventory is complete. No suspect information available at this time.
4201 Ringgold Road / Well-being check / DUI:
Officers were advised that Cameron Echols was possibly overdosing in a red BMW. The daughters of Echols were behind the BMW on Ringgold Road where officers were able to stop it and determined that Cameron Echols was not overdosing. Echols was arrested for driving under the influence.
948 Spring Creek Road / Theft:
The manager at Mr. Speedy called to report that a black male had stolen five electronic cigarettes before fleeing the scene. Police reviewed camera footage and observed that the male was wearing a black Adidas shirt and blue pants. Officers also observed that the male had two hospital bracelets on his wrist. Police relocated to Parkridge East and found the suspect, Dekari Waight, in room 131 with his wife who had just given birth. Waight admitted to stealing the cigarettes and the property was turned over to police. Officers made arrangements to contact Waight tomorrow after speaking to the manager of the store, who left while police were investigating.
6674 Ringgold Road / Disorder with a Weapon:
Police were called by a woman who was stating that she had been stabbed. Marlise Harrison was located standing outside the hotel, stating that her friend, Treniece Lane, had attacked her. Police observed Harrison had scratches and bite marks on her arm. Police spoke with Lane who advised that she was about to get into the bathtub when Harrison grabbed her from behind and would not let her go and that she had to bite her to get free. There was no weapon found. Both Harrison and Lane were arrested for assault and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
