The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
Aug. 19 Day Shift
5424 Marion Ave – Theft –
The complainant reported finding some of his tool boxes sitting next door at 5422 Marion. A quick inspection led to more tools being found inside the of 5422 Marion residence. The residents advised Mr Reeves that their roommate, Forrest Willing, had taken his tools to a pawnshop to sell. Several of those items were located at EZ Pawn on Lee Hwy and warrants are forthcoming.
417 Donaldson Rd – Auto Burglary –
While on patrol, police were stopped by the resident concerning two individuals who attempted to enter his locked automobile during the night of 8/17/20. RP stated he has video footage but could not determine any features of the suspects or the vehicle they were driving. Nothing was stolen, and no police report was requested.
411 B Dunlap Ave. – Aggravated Kidnapping –
Police responded to this location regarding a disorder with a weapon. Upon police arrival, it was determined to be an aggravated kidnapping. A witness stated that a woman used a handgun to threaten her ex-boyfriend into getting into her car and leaving with her. The parties left in a blue Jeep Cherokee. Officers attempted to ping several phone numbers associated with the parties but were unable to locate them.
6802 Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Vehicle –
A stolen black 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500, bearing Ga tag# RJB7248 from Bartow County, Ga was recovered at this location in the rear parking lot after it was observed parked here for several days. Cannons Wrecker Service towed the vehicle.
3400 Gail Dr – Theft –
The resident reported some of his furniture was taken from his apartment on 08/18/20. The victim stated his live-in fiance recently passed away and believes her children took the items when they came for her property.

Night Shift
1417 St Thomas St (Fight 20-010885):
A man and a woman staying at the Motel 6 were attacked and fought by Jeremy Sturgeon. Both parties suffered significant injuries. The woman had a number of lacerations and the man appeared to have a broken clavicle. Warrants will be sought against Jeremy Sturgeon for Aggravated Domestic Assault. Sturgeon was located in Georgia later in the shift and taken into custody by Murray County deputies.
600 Camp Jordan (Suspicious Party 20-010894):
Party called regarding a black male walking in the street yelling. Party was not located by officers.
3920 Ringgold Rd (Deceptive Practice/Arrests 20-010893):
Dollar General requested police when a female attempted to us fraudulent US currency to make a purchase. Officers made contact with Megan Hawk, Jason Tate and Joseph Valentino. The parties were found to be in possession of a large sum of suspected fraudulent cash, a stolen GMC Sierra truck and a stolen motorcycle. Ironically Hawk and Valentino had just left the East Ridge Police Department where she met Affordable Bonding to pay bail for an individual. Valentino was also in possession of methamphetamine.
1511 Waterhouse (Suspicious Person 20-010895):
RP stated a shirtless white male was running down the street yelling at vehicles. Party was gone when police arrived.
1512 (A) Karwill Ln (Domestic Assault 20-010890):
Police arrested Phillip Headrick after investigating a call of domestic assault. Police determined Mr. Headrick to be the primary aggressor and arrested him for pushing his soon to be 85-year-old mother-in-law out of a chair.
