The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
Aug. 17 Day Shift
Vehicle Pursuit-
Walker County was pursuing a suspect after he fled a traffic stop in their jurisdiction where he assaulted an officer. Officers located the pursuit east on Ringgold Road when the suspect vehicle turned off in a neighborhood. Officers encountered the suspect vehicle at Oakdale and East End where it failed to stop for police. Walker County and Rossville PD continued to pursue the suspect onto 75 north. East Ridge discontinued pursuit at the interstate.
4334 Ringgold Road (Regions)- Disorder-
The caller advised a customer was causing a disorder in the lobby. Upon arrival police spoke with a bank employee. She advised a customer, Peter P., created a disorder at the location prior to police arrival. The employee stated that Peter came to the bank without an appointment and began yelling at the bank staff because he could not access his online account. The employee stated she wanted Peter to leave the bank and wanted him criminally trespassed from the location. Police also spoke to Peter. He advised he was upset due to feeling like he was being given a runaround. He was criminally trespassed from the East Ridge location and agreed not to return.
1000 Bass Pro Drive (Bass Pro)- Theft-
The caller advised a white male in a silver Toyota Prius took the ball hitch from one of the boats in the lot. There is no other information on the suspect.
801 Belvoir Hills Circle- Warrant Service-
Richard Covington was taken into custody on two East Ridge warrants following an incident at 842 Belvoir Hills Drive. He was transported to 601.
1410 Mack Smith Road (Budgetel)- Wellbeing Check-
The caller advised of a male subject was having homicidal thoughts and requested police check on him. Upon arrival he was transported to Joe Johnson for a mental evaluation.
3212 B Gleason Drive- Shots Fired-
The caller advised of hearing a gun shot in the neighborhood and requested police respond. Upon arrival in the area nothing out of the ordinary was located.

Night Shift
601 Walnut St:
Matthew Poythress was served with an East Ridge warrant at the Hamilton County Jail
6519 Ringgold Rd. / Disorder:
Police contacted Johnny Carter and Andrea C. at the Super 8 Motel to inform them they were no longer allowed on the property. Both parties agreed to leave after they gathered their belongings. As the parties were leaving Andrea was actively trying to get away from Carter who continued to approach her in an aggressive manner. Police were able to separate the two parties, however Carter continuously refused to comply with the directives of officers. Compliance was ultimately gained using a department issued Taser. Carter was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
1600 Waterhouse / Warrant Service:
Demarcus Lockin was taken into custody for an active East Ridge warrant following a traffic stop at this location.
4300 Ringgold Road/DUI:
Robert Webb was arrested for DUI, Poss of crack cocaine, poss of drug para, and tampering with evidence after a traffic stop at this location.
5500 Clemons Road/Arrest:
Shanna Wilson was arrested on possession of meth and Michael Rollins was issued a misdemeanor citation in leu of arrest for driving on suspended.
3 Bloom Road / Theft from Vehicle:
The complainant reported that between 1500 August 16 and 0500 August 17, an unknown suspect entered her unlock vehicle and stole her purse from the glove box. The wallet in the purse contained her TN DL, her SSN Card, her US passport, American Express Card and visa debit card. Three purchases were made on this date on the Visa debit card. No suspect information available at this time.
712 Summit Avenue / Collapsed Structure:
RP stated to the call taker that the house was falling off of its foundation. Once PD arrived, police spoke to RP who stated that the porch on the house was moving, rising and falling. ERFD and ERPD inspected the exterior of the house and the only part of the duplex structure that was at jeopardy of falling away from the foundation was a second-floor deck that boards were hanging. The RP was instructed to contact Codes Enforcement to inspect the house and not to contact 911 unless it was a true emergency.
5740 Ringgold Road:
Kimberly Farris was arrested for criminal impersonation following a traffic stop.
