The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
August 08 – Day Shift
6513 Ringgold Road (Waffle House)- AOA/Possible Overdose-
Police responded with EMS regarding a female advising she was overdosing on meth or some other unknown substance. Upon arrival police assisted EMS. The patient was transported to Parkridge East.
6600 Jordan Run- Suspicious Vehicle-
The caller advised of a suspicious maroon truck in the cul de sac. Upon arrival the vehicle was found to belong to a lawn care company.
4222 Ringgold Road (Mapco)- Theft-
Police were originally dispatched on a robbery but once on scene police found no robbery had occurred. On scene police spoke with a woman who advised she and her male friend got into a heated verbal disorder over him attempting to take her purse out of her vehicle. Police also spoke with man who verified there was a disorder and advised that he allegedly was “maced” by the woman during the argument. The man did not exhibit any signs of an individual who had been maced on scene and he did not request any medical attention. Police observed the surveillance video and saw the man running from the woman’s vehicle with her purse. The woman declined prosecution and was able to get the purse back on scene. Both parties agreed they would separate, to prevent any further incident.
4150 Ringgold Road (Walmart)- Child Abuse-
Tomquisha Sexton was arrested after police received a call that her two infant children were observed inside her vehicle unattended. The outside temperature was approximately 95 degrees with a heat index of 99 degrees. Upon making entry into the vehicle the children were checked by medical personnel and cleared. They were picked up by their grandmother. CPS was notified.

August 08 – Night Shift
5305 Marion Ave / Disorder:
A reporting party only known to police as Cynthia called to report her husband invited someone over who brought beer and she was not happy about it. Police confirmed with the husband the person in question was his guest and that everyone was old enough to consume alcohol. When police tried to explain to the reporting party no laws had been broken and people could not be removed from the property, she became irrational and refused to speak with police.
201 Eads St. / Burglary In Progress:
Police responded to this location in reference to a burglary in progress, prior to arrival police were notified someone had entered the residence through the child’s bedroom window. Upon arrival police observed the screen had been cut and the window had been left open. Police entered the residence through the window but did not locate any unwanted parties in the residence. Police spoke with the victim who advised when she heard someone coming into the window, she grabbed her child and reported to her bedroom closet with her firearm and awaited police arrival. The victim advised nothing was missing and the suspect never entered the apartment.
6700 Ringgold Rd. / Evading / Hit and Run:
Police attempted a traffic stop on a red Nissan Altima for violation of traffic control device, the vehicle stopped briefly which allowed the driver to hang out of the window and yell at police before fleeing at a high rate of speed. Police deactivated emergency equipment allowing the driver to safely flee from police after which he was involved in a hit and run on I-75NB. Police later located the suspect vehicle abandoned at 7020 East Brainerd Road where a witness observed two white males and a white female exit the vehicle and flee into the neighborhoods carrying two large duffel bags. Police located items in the vehicle indicating a possible identity of Craig Sanborn, after looking at Sanborn’s DL photo he was identified as the driver by police. Warrants are being sought for felony evading, reckless driving, hit and run, and violation of traffic control device.
6701 Ringgold Rd. / Suspicious / Warrant Service:
Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at this location which resulted in police locating Brandy B., Brandon Torbush, and Darian Dedman. Torbush was taken into custody for several felony warrants through Hamilton County and then transported to the hospital where he was treated for the heroin he swallowed when he saw police pulling into the parking lot. Dedman was taken into custody for violating a protection order with Browning as the protected party. While located at the hospital Torbush became hostile towards medical staff and pulling items off the wall. Torbush was admitted to the hospital and police are seeking warrants for his arrest.
6513 Ringgold Road/DUI:
Allan Little was arrested for DUI at this location following a traffic stop.
5600 Ringgold Road/Unlawful possession:
Darron Johnson was arrested during a traffic stop at this location for felon in possession of a firearm.
3715 Ringgold Road / Arrest:
Melissa Martinez was observed inside Food City by an officer working an extra job. The officer knew that Martinez had multiple Hamilton County warrants and detained her. After the warrants were verified, Martinez stated that she had “fake drugs” in her bra. She stated to officers that she had crushed a teething tablet and was going to go “sell it to a guy as heroin.” Martinez was transported to the Hamilton County Jail on her warrants and was also charged with counterfeit controlled substances.
6700 Ringgold Road / Arrest:
Darian Dedman was arrested for violation of order of protection after he was found to be in the company of a woman who has a an order of protection against him.
1417 St Thomas Street / Theft:
A woman advised that she had met a male by the name of David and invited him back to her room. She stated that the two had drinks and he then asked to borrow some money to buy drugs with. The woman then gave him her debit card to use at an ATM. The woman stated that David was supposed to come right back after retrieving the money, but he never returned, and she noticed a $400 withdrawal from her account. She also stated that her wallet containing her ID and social security card was missing. No other suspect information available.

August 09 – Day Shift
941 Spring Creek Road (Parkridge East)- AOA Warrant Service-
Brandon Torbush was detained and transported to 601 following his release from the hospital. While en route to the jail Torbush was extremely uncooperative.
6500 blk of Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person/Disorderly Conduct-
The caller advised of a white female throwing rocks and screaming at telephone poles. Upon arrival police located the female at the McDonalds. She was identified as Brittany Schrader. She was taken into custody and transported to 601.
6514 Ringgold Road (Mapco)- Vehicle Fire-
Police responded with Fire to the business. Upon arrival a bystander had already extinguished the blaze. The vehicle was towed by Broomes.
136 Ridgeside Road- Suspicious Person/Disorder-
The caller advised of a white male standing in front of her house holding a black lives matter sign. She advised he was refusing to leave. Upon arrival police located the male standing on a public sidewalk not causing a disorder. While on scene the male voluntarily changed his location.

August 09 – Night Shift
341 Cedar Glen Circle / Aggravated Assault:
A woman reported having a gun pointed at her by a W/M named Chris (unknown last name). A report was filed for aggravated assault.
1410 N. Mack Smith Road, Rm 1308 / Overdose:
A female subject took three Klonopin and became unresponsive. The woman was transported to Parkridge East Hospital.
4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:
Alexis Jordan was arrested on a East Ridge Warrant.
1503 Mcdonald Road / Arrest:
Rachel Ottley and Wayne Bettleyoun were arrested during a traffic stop at this location. Police located meth, drug paraphernalia and multiple ID’s and credit cards. All ID’s and credit cards were placed into property pending investigation.
3200 Old Ringgold Rd. / Arrest X3:
Police observed a blue Honda Accord west on Ringgold Road through the tunnels which had extensive damage to the front end. Police observed the front left tire was missing as well as heavy damage and smoke coming from the engine compartment. Police conducted a traffic stop which resulted in Cordell Stamper being taken into custody for Distribution of Crack Cocaine and Distribution of Methamphetamine. Timothy Randolph and Ledarius Davis were both charged with possession of a firearm while intoxicated. East Ridge Police and Chattanooga Police worked together to determine this vehicle was involved in a shooting/crash (with no injuries) minutes prior to the stop. One of the occupants is also the suspect in a homicide that occurred a few days ago.
