Approximately 1408 hours, I was sitting in my patrol vehicle at the East Ridge Police Department located at 4214 Ringgold Road when I was approached by a black female in a black Audi. The female stated a red VW vehicle was following her. I noticed the vehicle was parked at the Speedway Gas station located at 4222 Ringgold Road. When I made contact with that vehicle, another black female advised me that the original reporting party/ vehicle brandished a firearm. While speaking to the driver of the VW, I noticed the black Audi leave the police department and traveled east on Ringgold Road at a high rate of speed. Mr. Harris was read his Miranda Warning and agree to talk to police. He admitted the firearm belonged to him and he was a convicted felon. A check of Mr. Harris criminal history shows he first became a felon in 2011 when he was convicted of possession of marijuana with intent to resale.
