The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.
July 13 Day Shift
6514 Ringgold Road (suspicious person):
Police responded to the Mapco in reference to a man acting erratically in the parking lot. Officers made contact with Timothy Hillis II who was transported by ambulance to Parkridge East Hospital due to an adverse reaction to suspected kratom. After being cleared from the hospital he was arrested on an active warrant. (Kratom is a tropical tree (Mitragyna speciosa) native to Southeast Asia, with leaves that contain compounds that can have psychotropic (mind-altering) effects. Kratom is not currently an illegal substance).
1007 Hurst Street (auto theft):
The complainant reported the overnight theft of his silver 2004 Buick Rendezvous (TN 3S51Z2). The vehicle had been left unlocked, and a set of keys were left in it. No suspect information is available.
5700 C-1 Roper Street (verbal disorder):
Ray and Brittani came to the police station to report a verbal disorder between each other. There was no evidence of physical assault, and both parties agreed to separate for the day. This appears to be a continuous event with these parties due to them repeatedly breaking up. No further police action was taken.
1300 Pleasant Street (FI):
A field interview was conducted on a man and a woman after an area resident thought they were snooping around an abandoned property.
1303 Sewanee Drive (misdemeanor citation):
Sabynne Sinaloa was issued a misdemeanor citation for simple possession of marijuana following a disorder she was having at her mother’s residence.
3738 Anderson Avenue (suspicious activity):
James Darren Scott (01/22/68 W/M) and Jordan Royce Saunders (12/02/98 W/M) were criminally trespassed from the wooded property next to this location and this address after they were observed being on the property during odd morning hours and not being residents. Scott and Saunders stated they had been working on a vehicle of Scott’s, which had broken down in the woods. Scott stated both vehicles belonged to him, however, neither vehicle displayed the correct corresponding registration nor were the vehicles registered to Scott.
3738 Anderson Avenue (private property tow):
Police assisted the out-of-town property owner with towing a white 2005 Chevrolet Silverado from the wooded area adjacent to this property which had been left on the property by some unauthorized parties. The vehicle was towed by East Ridge Auto.

Night Shift
3639 Missionaire Ave- Theft from a vehicle- #20-009044-
Sometime during the 12th and 13th, between 2330 and 0730 hours, an unknown suspect entered a unlocked vehicle and stole an Invicta watch from the console.
1410 Mack Smith Road- Traffic Stop/warrants-
Deangelo Fleetwood was arrested on multiple Hamilton County warrants following a traffic stop at this location. The driver was cited for driving on revoked, driving an unregistered vehicle, and financial responsibility
6200 Ringgold Road- Taco Bell- Disorder-
Employees called stated a customer was upset that they did not have change to give at the drive thru due to Covid-19. Suspect was gone upon police arrival.
6514 Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/warrants-
Keytoa Cox was arrested on a general sessions warrant following a traffic stop.
I75 North- Reckless driving #20-009048-
Officers observed a white sedan driving at a high rate of speed in several areas on the east side of town. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle which fled at speeds over 112 mph in a 45-mph construction zone. The vehicle was BOLO to surrounding agencies.
6514 Ringgold Rd/ Narcotics arrest:
Police arrested Charles Heath and Taylor Andrea for narcotic related charges after an employee of the Super 8 called and stated the couple was being suspicious. Ms. Andrea also had felony warrants through Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
300 Camp Jordan Pkwy (Traffic/ arrest) 20-009049:
Eric Mcmath was arrested for driving while revoked, altering plates and financial responsibility following a traffic stop at this location.
5517 Ringgold Road- Suds and Shine- Burglary #20-009050-
RP advised on 7/13/20 around 0330 hours, a white male came into the business and went into the restroom. While in the restroom, he climbs through the ceiling tiles and went into a back room where he stole approximately $20 in quarters. The incident was caught on camera.
