The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports” provided by the administration.
June 27 – Day Shift
1410 Mack Smith Road (Budgetel)- Disorder-
The caller advised the female occupant of room 3316 was yelling and disturbing the other guests. Dispatch advised this was an ongoing issue from last night. Officers contacted the occupants of the room and advised them to be quiet.
1410 Mack Smith Road (Budgetel)- Disorder-
The caller advised the female in room 3308 was damaging property inside and refusing to open the door for management. They advised the female was not supposed to be inside the room. Upon arrival police contacted the occupant. Upon investigation it was found the disorder was verbal in nature and no property damage had occurred.
908 Harris Lane- Suspicious Activity-
While on patrol in the neighborhood police observed several parties on the property at this address. Upon them seeing police they ran into the residence. Officers observed a gold Mazda in the driveway with Tennessee tag number CSS339. It was quickly determined the vehicle was the one used to flee a traffic stop with CSU officers on Tuesday 6-23. It also eluded police around 0520 hours this date. Officers contacted Jessie Ervin and five other individuals at the house. Ervin was found to have several felony warrants out of Hamilton County. He was detained and transported to 601.
3330 Ringgold Road (King Audio)- Noise Complaint-
The caller advised of loud music coming from the business. He advised the music was disturbing a funeral at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Contact was made with the owner of the business and he agreed to stop the music.
3702 Ringgold Road (Animal Hospital)- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of a white female in the lot bothering customers. Upon arrival police located a woman across the street in the lot of Subway. She was checked for warrants and sent on her way.
6401 Ringgold Road (McDonald’s)- Assault-
The shift manager stated at approximately 1135 hours a red Honda Odyssey was in the drive-through lane ordering food. The manager stated the vehicle was driven by a black female in her late 20’s. The manager stated the subject became angry about her food order struck her through the window. She advised the strike knocked her glasses off. The manager was unable to give any further description of the subject. Police reviewed video footage, but it was very difficult to see the suspect.
3657 Ringgold Road (Cascades Motel)- Stolen Registration Decal-
Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the motel. The vehicle was a black Chrysler 200 parked near Room 72. Officers had observed the vehicle in the same location during previous daily patrols in the area and noticed it had not moved. Upon checking the tag information (TN R3593S) through dispatch police found the tag did not belong the vehicle. Police sent the displayed decal information to dispatch and found it belonged to a tag that was stolen out of Chattanooga on May 2, 2020. The VIN was checked on the Chrysler 200 and found it was registered to a Soddy Daisy woman. Officers spoke with the motel management. They advised they were unsure of the vehicle’s ownership. Officers checked the surrounding rooms for the owner of the vehicle with no success. The registration tag was put in property.

June 27 – Night Shift
Ringgold Road @ Belvoir Avenue/Crash-Bicyclist:
A cyclist was hit by a vehicle while riding westbound on Ringgold Road. The cyclist was wearing all black, riding a black/dark color bicycle, and did not have any reflectors or lights.
1812 John Ross / Prowler:
Police responded to a prowler call where the reporting party advised a white male wearing a white mask was looking into the windows of his residence with a flashlight. Police checked the residence as well as the surrounding area but located no one.
3617 Missionaire / Domestic:
Police responded to this location in reference to a disorder with a weapon. Jerome Holiday was taken into custody for domestic violence, false imprisonment, and simple possession. Holiday had current conditions through Hamilton County for a previous incident with the same victim.
4222 Ringgold Road / Intoxicated Person:
Police were called due to an intoxicated male standing at the door of the Speedway which was closed at the time. Police made contact with Hayden Meadows who was extremely intoxicated. Meadows was arrested for public intoxication and possession of a handgun while intoxicated. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
3206 Ringgold Road / Suspicious Vehicle:
Police made contact with a suspicious vehicle sitting in the back corner of the car wash. Three passengers inside included the driver, front passenger, Hailey Jones (who originally gave a name of Taylor Knox), and rear passenger, Daniel Brown. The driver, who also owned the vehicle, gave permission to search the vehicle. During the search record checks indicated Jones had active warrants, and Brown had active warrants. Warrants did verify. Brown was taken into custody for outstanding warrants including four counts of reckless endangerment, speeding, evading, stop sign violation, and driving on suspended. Jones was taken into custody for a warrant out of Hamilton Co and original charges of criminal impersonation, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, reckless endangerment, and criminal exposure after an officer was stuck by an uncapped syringe on Jones’s person. The driver was released without further incident.

June 28 – Day Shift
900 blk of Harris Lane- Suspicious Activity/Evading-
The resident of 904 Harris Lane called dispatch to report a motorcycle had pulled into her driveway, pulled up to her house then left. While responding to Harris Lane police observed a red motorcycle leaving South Sanctuary Road turning west onto Ringgold Road. The motorcycle was a red Kawasaki sport bike (GA XDF772) ridden by a white male. Police initiated a traffic stop in the 6700 block of Ringgold Road, but the motorcycle refused to stop and fled west on Ringgold Road. It was last seen turning north onto Interstate 75. Police deactivated all emergency equipment and returned to the Harris Hills subdivision.
1410 Mack Smith Road (Budgetel)- Auto Theft-
The caller advised sometime around 0600 hours his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. Later in the shift police received a call advising the theft suspect had returned to the motel. Upon arrival officers spoke with Timothy Ricks. After further investigation Timothy Ricks, Antonio Collier, John Morgan Jr., and Ashley Nopple were arrested and charged in connection with the theft. The vehicle was located off 51st Street in Chattanooga. It was returned to the owner.
6708 Ringgold Road (Circle K)- Shoplifting-
Police arrived and spoke with the store clerk. The clerk stated a white male in his early 50’s had placed two or three packs of crackers and a candy bar in his pocket. The clerk advised she asked him to pay for the items, but he refused and exited the store. The party left the store on foot traveling west on Ringgold Rd toward the Quality Inn.
1306 Laredo Avenue- Wellbeing Check-
The anonymous caller requested police check on the occupants of this residence due to poor living conditions. Upon arrival officers spoke to the elderly brother and sister living there. Both seemed to be somewhat mentally stable, but the house was in disrepair. Police notified city code enforcement and filed an APS report.
3326 Ringgold Road (Conoco)- Auto Theft-
The caller advised his red Hyundai Accent was taken from the gas pumps while he was inside the store. He advised the clerk observed a white male enter the vehicle and leave the lot traveling east on Ringgold Road. Officers searched the city and first located the caller’s cell phone. The vehicle was found in the lot of 3725 Fountain Avenue. CID was notified. There are currently no suspects.
730 Germantown Circle (Germantown Gardens #806)- Animal Call-
Police spoke to a woman via phone regarding an animal attack. She advised around 1130 hours she and her dog went to the complex dog park for some exercise. Upon her arrival there was another dog already in the park. She advised upon letting her dog off its leash the other dog attacked. She advised the other owner did nothing to help stop the attack and just sat in a chair and watched. She advised once she was able to get her dog she left. The complainant advised her dog was not currently needing medical treatment, but it was injured in the attack. She advised the other dog is black and white and lives in apartment 713.

June 28 – Night Shift
1410 Mack Smith Road / Theft:
Police made contact with a man who wished to report his credit card stolen. While speaking to the man, he was so intoxicated he could not tell the difference between his ID card and the hotel key. The man was instructed to call back when he was sober.
4214 Ringgold Rd / Warrant Service:
Anthony Blocker was served with an East Ridge warrant at the Hamilton County Jail.
1410 Mack Smith Road / Disorder:
Kaleob Lance Whitener was arrested for simple assault after a disorder involving another hotel guest.
302 Dunlap Ave / Aggravated assault:
Police were called to this location for several people fighting in the parking-lot. Once on scene police determined Shanda Thomas had assaulted Crystal B. Ms. Thomas received a misdemeanor citation for simple assault. Police also arrested a juvenile for aggravated assault and tampering with evidence after he pointed a gun at Ms. Thomas and got rid of the weapon. Ms. Thomas told police she assaulted Crystal due to her juvenile daughter saying she was touched inappropriately by one of Crystal’s sons in Panama City, Florida. Police notified Panama City police of the incident.
2007 McBrien Road / Suicidal Threats:
Arrived on location and spoke to a male subject concerning suicidal thoughts. He stated to police that he wasn’t suicidal but told his brother that he was in order to stop “his magic.” Police discovered that ERPD held two outstanding warrants on him. After verifying the warrants, police took him into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail for charges of Possession of Schedule II and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
