The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.
June 25 – Night Shift
5407 Marion Ave (domestic assault):
Terry Ellis was taken into custody at this location after getting into an altercation with his ex-wife. The ex-wife suffered a cut to her head and injuries to her back. She was transported to Parkridge East for further care.
183 I 24 East (DUI/MVC):
William Smith was arrested for DUI 2nd after he crashed into a barrier then was hit by a tractor trailer when trying to exit off of I24.
915 S Seminole Dr Apt 9 (Auto theft):
The complainant called to report his maroon Kia unknown model stolen. Complainant was not on scene but would be back during the day to file a report.
Exit 1 on ramp I75sb/Drug arrest:
Mark Headrick was arrested for possession of meth for resale during a traffic stop at this location. Mr. Headrick also had a capias warrant out of East Ridge for possession of meth.

June 26 –Day Shift
1410 Mack Smith Road (Budgetel #2122)- Burglary-
Upon arrival, police spoke with the victim. He advised sometime between 0615 hrs and 0730 hrs on this date, an unknown subject entered his room and stole two (2) miscellaneous watches and approximately two hundred and twenty dollars ($220) in cash. While on scene, police spoke with security and were advised there were no surveillance cameras in use near the victim’s room. CID was contacted but did not respond as the scene had been contaminated by the victim and other parties. Victim did not have any suspect information.
941 Spring Creek Road (Parkridge East)- Assault-
Upon arrival police spoke to the victim. He stated he works for Grays Bail Bonding and was attempting to detain a fugitive (Michael Gann). Victim stated he was standing in front of Gann’s vehicle and when Gann approached him, he identified himself as a bondsman, and showed him a badge, and advised him that he was going to take him into custody. Victim stated Gann then grabbed him in a “bearhug” moving him out of the way and then ran back into the hospital. Officers then entered the hospital to locate Gann to gather his side of the incident. When located he stated he did not assault the bondsman. Gann was advised by hospital security to leave per administration. Once outside of the hospital, bail agents took Gann into custody without the help of officers. While detaining Gann, a verbal argument began and officers order everyone off the property along with security staff. Police later contacted the victim via phone to advised him of his complaint number and to ask if he desired criminal charges against Gann and he stated he did not.
Mimbro Lane @ Indian Trail- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of a woman with pink hair dancing in the street. Upon arrival the female was not located.
909 Harris Lane- Animal Call/AOA-
The caller advised of an aggressive dog in the neighborhood. Police responded with animal control and attempted to catch the rogue canine. However, the dog ran into Georgia before it could be apprehended.
Warrant Service-
Anthony Mullis was served several East Ridge warrants at 601.

June 26 – Night Shift
4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant service:
Melissa Taylor was served with an East Ridge warrant for theft at the Hamilton County jail.
1410 Mack Smith Road/Criminal Trespass:
Taffani Amber Walters was criminally trespassed from Budgetel.
1410 Mack Smith Road, Room 1211/Aggravated Burglary:
Taffani Amber Walters was arrested for Aggravated Burglary after she entered room 1211 without the affective consent of the owner or renter and stole an Xbox 360.
McBrien @ Ringgold / Narcotics:
Charles Daugherty was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop at this location.
3500 Ringgold Rd / Evading:
Police observed a red Mitsubishi Eclipse traveling west on Ringgold Road in a manner which was causing danger to vehicles around her. Police specifically observed the vehicle passing cars in a reckless manner by using east bound lanes. Police attempted to stop the vehicle which resulted in the vehicle fleeing through the tunnels into Chattanooga. Police made the decision not to pursue the vehicle and deactivated all emergency equipment. After traveling through the tunnel to make sure the vehicle had not struck anyone police were flagged down by a party who advised police there was a “bad wreck.” When officers checked the area they discovered the vehicle that had fled wrecked on Dodds Avenue along with CPD officers who had taken the driver into custody for separate charges. The female had active warrants out of East Ridge with more to come.
941 SpringCreek Rd / Disorder:
Police responded after it was reported there was a large group of people screaming in the parking lot. Police were able to determine the disorder was verbal only. The crowd agreed to disperse, no further police action was taken.
3520 Shelby Ciircle / Domestic:
Sarah Prather was taken into custody at this location for assaulting her sister and also charged with simple assault for assaulting another man in the process of attacking her sister.
1728 John Ross Rd / vandalism:
The resident called police to his home to make a report that two windows in the front of his home had been shot by what looks like BB pellets. No BBs found on scene, but the damage was conducive with the size of a BB. The resident noted he was in his home when he heard a car drive by and then his windows being hit. No suspect information at this time.
5402 Dupont Street / Deceptive Practice:
The complainant was contacted by an alleged Special Agent from the Social Security Administration who instructed him to purchase four debit cards from Walmart and provide the numbers to them in order to protect his money. The “special agent” told him that his social security number was used to open a fraudulent bank account in Texas. They gained access to his bank account and his provided one card number to the alleged SA in which they were able to obtain $1,500 from him. Police provided the 1-800 number to the Federal Trade Commission’s Fraud Hotline in order for the victim to report the scam.
4307 Fountain Avenue / Lost Property:
The complainant reported that between the hours form 1430 and 2200, she lost her Glock 27 GEN 4, .40 cal pistol. SN: BCTF370. She stated that she traveled to several stores on Highway 58 in Chattanooga and cannot recall when she would possibly lose the firearm. Police entered the pistol into NCIC.
5301 Ringgold Road (Walgreens) / Shoplifting:
One unknown black female and one unknown black male entered Walgreens at 2336 picked up a shopping basket and filled it with merchandise. Once the basket was full, they exited the store without paying and entered a red, what appeared to be, Chrysler Sebring convertible, and was last seen travelling westbound on Ringgold Road. Walgreens is unable to determine what merchandise was taken.
Police observed a silver Kia Soul matching the description of auto burglary suspects leaving the area of Marlboro Avenue at a high rate of speed, however police were not able to stop the vehicle due to being enroute to a domestic in progress.
