The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports” provided by the administration.
June 22 Day Shift
3308 Ringgold Road (Linda’s Produce)-Suspicious Person-
An anonymous caller stated a black male was at the location who seemed confused and had requested the assistance of a police officer. Upon arrival police determined the individual in need was a mentally challenged adult who lived at the Support Solutions group home at 3516 Mimbro Lane.
Police transported the male subject to the group home and met with the caregiver on duty. He willingly went back into the home.
Later in the shift the male subject walked off again and went to 3508 Ringgold Road (Walgreens). Police responded and talked him into the car with his caregiver.
Police were called out a third time regarding the male subject. This time he was attempting to gain transport out of town. He was transported back to his group home.
6708 Ringgold Road (Circle K)- Shoplifting-
The caller advised a white female entered the store and took $20 of merchandise as she left. She was last observed walking toward the Quality Inn. The suspect was not located.
1417 Saint Thomas Street (Motel 6 #133)- Narcotics Violation-
The caller advised a sixteen-year-old female was staying in the room with a twenty-nine-year-old male and selling narcotics. Upon arrival police contacted the man and a girl. While speaking with the two police detected the strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the room. Police asked the adult male who rented the room for permission to look in the room and retrieve the marijuana. The man granted consent. Officers located a small marijuana blunt and removed it from the room. The pair were checked for warrants, but none were found.
3502 Ringgold Road (Ace Hardware)- Unknown 911-
Dispatch received and unknown 911 call from the area of the hardware store. Upon arrival nothing out of the ordinary was located.
3906 Bennett Road- Theft-
Upon arrival police spoke to the homeowner. He advised the heating and air conditioning unit for his rental property had been stolen. The homeowner stated the rental home had been vacant for several weeks and he noticed the unit was missing at approximately 1230 hours on June 21, 2020. The man did not know of any suspects and did not authorize anyone to remove the unit from the side of the home. The man was unclear on the make, model and serial number of the unit, but stated he would contact the contractor who installed the unit several years ago. Police also spoke to a neighbor who lives at 3908 Bennett Road. She advised she noticed the heating and cooling unit was missing on June 17, 2020 when she returned home from an overnight trip out of town. The neighbor further stated she thought the heating and cooling unit was still at the residence on June 16, 2020 when she left for her trip.
3805 Ringgold Road (Amigo’s)- Wellbeing Check-
The caller advised of a female in a tan vehicle slumped over the steering wheel. Upon police arrival the vehicle was gone.

Night Shift
6407 Ringgold Road –
Deborah Lowery was arrested for DUI, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop.
6725 Ringgold Road / Carjacking:
The complainant stated that he was standing inside the store when a black male known only to him as Loon/Loony entered the store and confronted him, stating that he stole his wheels. The complainant stated that he did not, but he knew who did. Loony then punched Holt in the face and walked outside, pulled the complainant’s sister out of the vehicle and left in it. The vehicle was described as a white 2004 Mazda 6 with black rims and red lettering on the tires. The complainant could not provide police with the VIN or registration, so it has not yet been entered into NCIC. Warrants are being sought for Loony.
201 Eads #234 / Narcotics Violation:
The courtesy officer called police to report a black male smoking marijuana in the parking lot of the apartments. While awaiting the arrival of police he attempted to contact the male party who fled on foot into what he believed was apartment 234 but could not advise for sure. Police attempted to contact occupants of apartment 234 but could not get a response to the door.
4001 Ringgold Rd / Suspicious Activity:
The owner of East Ridge Auto called and reported seeing a black male behind his business. Once the owner arrived in the parking lot the male party got into a white Chevy Avalanche and left the area. Police later contacted the driver of the vehicle and identified him as Ronyale Woods and issues him a criminal trespass warning on behalf of East Ridge Auto Electric. Report on file.
Tunnels / Truck Stuck:
Police assisted CPD with the removal of a Fed Ex delivery truck which had become stuck in the tunnel.
800 S. Moore Road/Traffic-Misdemeanor:
Samuel R. Ledford was issued a misdemeanor citation for Driving While License Suspended.
18300 Interstate 24 West/Crash-Property:
A gray Volkswagen Jetta hit a Kenworth tractor-trailer and hit the center divider.
18400 Interstate 24 West/Roadway Hazard:
Meagan E. Shaffer flatten a tire on some debris on the roadway. She believed the City of East Ridge responsible for the damage to her tire. Case number given.
4150 Monroe Street (Walmart) / Theft from a Vehicle:
Ron Baker parked his 2010 Lexus 240 outside of Walmart. He left his windows in the down position and went inside to shop. When he returned, he noticed that his gym bag containing two swimsuits, two silver dollars, one kindle tablet, and a phone charger was missing. The Manager at Walmart reviewed security footage but could not see a suspect. No information available at this time.
Suspicious Person:
A CPD officer that lives in East Ridge stated that an unknown black female, wearing purple medical scrubs, walked up to his house. She told him that her boyfriend assaults her regularly. The CPD officer offered to contact ERPD to take the assault report, but she refused. She asked him for a business card which he provided, and she left heading westbound on Bennett Road.
