June 17 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports provided by the administration.

June 16 Day Shift

511 Sharondale Rd:

Resident reported that the rear window of his work truck was shot out with a BB gun overnight.

6519 Ringgold Rd (Theft):

The complainant called to report his Tennessee registration: 5N32P1 was stolen from his gold 2000 Ford Ranger while he was incarcerated in Silverdale sometime between 6/13/20 and 6/15/20. No suspect information at this time.

Night Shift

1520 Waterhouse St (disorder):

Verbal disorder at this address. Suspect gone on arrival (GOA).

1507 Springvale Rd (fire):

Reporting party called in stating thick black smoke was coming from the rear of this residence. It was determined the smoke was from a fire pit.

I75 NB (alarm):

McLane trucking company called in stating one of their drivers was hitting the panic button. Stated he was at the welcome center in East Ridge. Officers did not locate the semi.

4214 Ringgold Rd (susp):

Reporting party was delivering newspapers when she noticed a white SUV with gold trim following her. She stated the vehicle followed her down multiple side streets and passed the PD as she turned in. Nothing located in the area.

1400 Boyd St (arrest):

Justin Condroski was arrested for public intoxication after he was found in the middle of the road passed out.

Dick Cook has lived in East Ridge since the Kennedy Administration when his parents bought a house on Marietta Street. Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. Dick worked for the Chattanooga Free-Press and the Chattanooga Times Free Press for 22 years. Free-Press Sports Editor Roy Exum plucked him out of production in 1989 and gave him a job as a sports reporter. Dick covered everything from prep sports to the whitewater events on the Ocoee River for the 1996 Olympics. When Chattanooga's two paper's merged, he became the Crime Reporter covering both the Chattanooga Police and Fire Departments. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
