The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.
May 14 – Day Shift
1036 Hibbler Circle (aggressive dog):
The resident felt threatened by her neighbor’s pit bull this morning while taking out her garbage. This resulted in a disorder with the dog’s owner who left prior to police arrival. Animal Services was advised of the situation.
4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service):
Jessica Cruz was arrested on an active East Ridge warrant for felony possession of drugs and taken to jail.
4338 Ringgold Road (warrant service):
Joshua Lucas was arrested on an active Soddy Daisy warrant, and Brian Sims was issued a misdemeanor citation for simple possession of marijuana.
1125 McBrien Road (found property):
The residents located a S&W 9 mm handgun under the stairs of the duplex. There is no record of the handgun on file. It was placed into Property and Evidence.
6407 Ringgold Road (disorder):
Daniel Lucas was criminally trespassed from Portofino’s after becoming belligerent with staff when asked to leave.
300 Camp Jordan Parkway (auto burglaries):
Two vehicles were entered while parked at Camp Jordan. One had a laptop taken as a result of doors being left unlocked. The other vehicle had a passenger side window smashed out and a purse stolen.

May 14 – Night Shift
3604 Missionaire Ave (Aggravated Domestic Assault):
Timothy A. Smith was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault and interference with emergency calls after he strangled his father. Smith’s father recently had open heart surgery and Smith stomped on his father’s chest during the altercation.
146 Stateline Rd (dis weapon in GA):
Multiple callers stating a black male (Dearies King) had a 4-foot stick hitting a tan vehicle’s window with a female inside. Upon police arrival Mr. King ran on foot south into Catoosa. He was detained by ERPD until Catoosa Arrived.

May 15 – Day Shift
Germantown Road @ Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/DUI Arrest-
Jeffrey Anthony was found passed out in his vehicle at the intersection. He was arrested and charged with DUI.
900 blk of Spring Creek Road- Suspicious Person/Arrest-
The caller advised of a white male walking in and out of traffic. Upon arrival officers located Claude Troxell. He was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
3600 blk of Altamira Drive- Suspicious Activity-
The caller requested police check the area for juveniles riding a four-wheeler in the neighborhood. Upon arrival the juveniles were located and advised to stop riding in the streets.
4338 Ringgold Road (Food Lion)- Counterfeit Money-
Upon arrival police spoke with management. They advised over the last few weeks they have received a counterfeit five- and twenty-dollar bill. There are no suspects.

6600 Ringgold Road:
Marley Taylor was arrested for Hamilton County warrants during a traffic stop.
2003 Myrtle Ave / Domestic:
Patrick Mcintyre was arrested for domestic assault following an incident at this location.
6700 Ringgold Rd / Warrant Service:
Brittney Keown was taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location for active warrants through Ashland City, Tennessee.
4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:
Served an Alias Capias warrant for Theft of Property on Robert Hughes who was already in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
5707 Ringgold Road, Dollar General Store/Suspected Shoplifting:
Unknown male was detained for suspected shoplifting but released after suspicion was dispelled.

May 16 – Day Shift
6700 Ringgold Road (Quality Inn)- Theft-
Police arrived and spoke with third shift clerk. The clerk stated at approximately 0506 hours she had left her station at the front desk to make coffee. The clerk stated prior to leaving her station a white male had been standing at the desk watching her count money. The clerk returned to the desk a few moments later and realized the drawer had been opened in her absence. The clerk stated she counted the currency and noted approximately $900 had been taken. The suspect is an unknown white male between five foot three inches and five foot five inches tall. he has a strawberry blonde beard and short hair. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and camouflage shorts. The clerk believes the suspect is a guest of someone in the motel but did not have room information at the time of this report.
6674 Ringgold Road (Rodeway/OYO)- Suspicious Persons-
While patrolling police observed a white male enter the passenger seat of a black Chevrolet Cobalt at the motel. The male subject was wearing similar clothing and possibly matched the description of the theft suspect from 6700 Ringgold Rd earlier on this date. It was determined at the time of the encounter the subject was quite probably not the suspect. He and his wife, were interviewed and released.
6700 Ringgold Road (Rodeway/OYO)- Disorder-
Upon arrival Brandi M. was on scene speaking with motel staff. Brandi had rented a room for an unknown male on May 15, 2020. The male she rented the room for was the suspect from the theft earlier on this date. Brandisaid she did not know the parties name and she merely was trying to help him by renting a room. She had returned to the Quality Inn on this date to secure her deposit. Her description of the suspect matched employee’s descriptions of the suspect with the addition of the fact the suspect has a small tattoo under his left eye.
Police positively identified the suspect as Noah O’Harra through surveillance footage and previous booking photos. Warrants have been sought.
1237 John Ross Road- Warrant Service-
Noah Oharra was located at this address and is now in custody. He was arrested on burglary and theft warrants.
1402 John Ross Road- Vehicle Theft-
Police spoke with the victim via phone. She advised she last saw the vehicle (1997 Green Jeep Wrangler with a tan hard top) around 2330 last date parked in her driveway. She advised the vehicle has multiple distinguishing features including a specialized off-road front brush guard, all black wheels, two fog lights on the hood, and multiple bumper stickers. There is no suspect info. Vehicle was entered in NCIC and bolo’ed to surrounding agencies.
3607 Ida Bell Lane- Warrant Service-
Misty Barnes was arrested on an outstanding East Ridge warrant for probation violation. She was transported to 601.
6650 Ringgold Road (La Quinta Inn)- Disorder-
The caller advised he was having trouble with guests due to him charging them extra for smoking marijuana in their room. Upon arrival the three guests were gone.
6519 Ringgold Road (Super 8 Motel)- Auto Theft-
Police arrived and spoke with the victim. The victim stated he had parked his 2004 GMC Envoy outside of room 156 of the motel at approximately 0100 hours. He awoke this morning at approximately 0500 hours to discover his vehicle had been taken. The victim did not have proper identifying information for the vehicle at the time of this report. The tag on the vehicle GA PWE2467 is assigned to a Honda Accord. The VIN the victim supplied was not a match for a GMC Envoy. The victim will research the VIN information and notify police when he has the information.
6519 Ringgold Road (Super 8 Motel)- Vehicle Burglary-
While police were taking an auto theft report the partner of the theft victim alerted police her vehicle had been burglarized. Police spoke with the woman who stated sometime between 0100 hours and 0500 hours on this date her vehicle, a green 1997 Toyota Camry, had been entered by unknown parties and several items were missing. She stated a bag of dirty clothes, numerous pairs of shoes, a “Halo” battery charger and a toolbox containing numerous tools had been taken. She had no suspect information.

May 16 – Night Shift
1712 Jennings Ln/ Medical call:
Police were called to this location in reference to a white male, stumbling and falling in the street. Upon arrival police contacted a man who said he walked a long distance and complained of overheating. Police gave the man three bottles of water until EMS transported him to a local hospital.
808 S Germantown Rd/ Evading:
Police attempted to make a traffic stop on a black sedan for not having taillights at this location. The sedan ran from police heading north into Chattanooga’s city limits. It is believed the driver was going to this address before running from police. The suspect vehicle is described as follows: black newer model sedan, LED head lights, no taillights and TN registration. Police were unable to get the registration number. Police followed department policies and did not pursue.
111 Hilldale Dr/ Evading:
Police attempted to make a traffic stop on a motorcycle at this location. The motorcycle ran from police and was last seen traveling south on Tunnel Blvd. The driver was a white male wearing a gray sweatshirt and black helmet. There was a passenger in the rear of the motorcycle. The passenger was a white female wearing a gray sweatshirt and black helmet. Police followed department policies and did not pursue.
4227 Ringgold Road:
Kimberly Hubbard was arrested for possession of Schedule II during a traffic stop.
1202 McBrien Road / Disorder Prevention:
The owner of the residence at this location, rented out the house as an Air B&B. The person that rented the Air B&B violated the contract by hosting a party of more than six people. The contract stated that parties were not allowed, and no more than six people could stay at the house. The renter told the owner that she was not having a party and expected only four people to stay at the house. When police arrived, there were approximately 40 people in the backyard holding a gender reveal party. Police instructed the people to leave right after the reveal was divulged. Most left willing complying with police instructions.
21 Woodard Circle/Suspicious Person:
A white male wearing white shorts, dark color shirt and ball cap talking on a cell phone was seen walking near 21 Woodard Circle. When police turned around, the male ran away and could not be found.
Germantown @ S. Terrace / Warrant Service:
Randle Chastain was taken into custody for Hamilton County and Catoosa County warrants following a traffic stop at this location.
4214 Ringgold Rd / Warrant Service:
Steven Etheridge was served with an East Ridge warrant for theft over $2,500 while at Hamilton County Jail.
6519 Ringgold Rd / Traffic / Arrest:
Julius Burrows was taken into custody for DUI, possession of schedule II narcotic, and resisting arrest following a traffic stop at this location.
400 Block of Scruggs Rd. / Shots Fired:
While working an extra job at Boyd Speedway, Officers of the East Ridge Police Department witnessed two vehicles traveling north on Scruggs Rd. and witnessed shots being exchanged between the two vehicles. Officers were unable to get a good description of the vehicles due to the distance and obstructions. Officers were unable to locate the vehicles nor any casings.

May 17 – Day Shift
Anderson Avenue @ Altamaha Street (Woods)- Park and Walk-
Police received information regarding a large amount of homeless collecting a large amount of trash in the wooded area behind the AMC Theater. Upon arrival officers encountered Toney Chase attempting to homestead the area. He was checked for warrants and advised to vacate. A non-extraditable warrant out of South Carolina was located for Chase.
5314 Connell Street- Burglary-
Upon arrival officers spoke to reporting party. She advised she was house sitting for her son and received a call from him advising someone had entered his home last night and still may be on scene. Police checked the garage area of the residence and located Joshua Merritt asleep on the floor. He was arrested and charged with burglary and possession of meth.
Key West Avenue @ State Line Road- AOA-
Catoosa County requested assistance with a fleeing domestic violence suspect. The suspect, Barry Nichols fled 178 Fairlane Drive as deputies were arriving on scene. He was last observed running north on Key West. Upon arrival officers searched the area with no success. Catoosa County will have charges on Nichols.
3320 Ringgold Road (Fabric Care Laundry)- Wellbeing Check-
The caller advised of a black female wearing a trash bag and exposing herself at the laundromat. Upon arrival police located Bertha C. inside the business. Officers are familiar with Bertha after speaking with her last month regarding the same type of issue. She was advised to add a second trash bag to lengthen her coverage until her clothes were dry.
1039 Hibbler Circle- Vandalism-
The resident called to report an unknown suspect vandalized his vehicle. Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant/victim. He stated at approximately 1345 hrs on this date, he was advised by his next-door neighbor there was an arrow imbedded in the bottom part of the passenger compartment of his 2018 Toyota Tundra. No suspect information.
1410 Mack Smith Road (Budgetel)-
The caller advised someone outside his room was threatening to kill him. Upon arrival officers determined the caller was suffering a possible mental health issue.
508 Notre Dame Avenue- Warrant Service-
Austin Hardin was arrested on East Ridge warrant for theft of propeerty and transported to 601.
Warrant Service-
Kimberly Merritt was served an East Ridge warrant at 601. She was arrested by CPD following a vehicle pursuit and transported to 601.

May 17 – Night Shift
816 Dunlap Ave/ Fraud:
Police worked a fraud/scam at this location. The scammer convinced the RP to send $1,000 in the form of eBay gift cards. The scammer was posing to work for a company named Sys Pecs, and offered to protect the RP from bank fraud. Once the scammer, who is only known as John Rio had access to all the RP’s bank information. He took control over her desk top computer.
1002 Greens Lake/ Narcotics Arrest:
Police arrested Christopher Hilt following a traffic stop at this location. Mr. Hilt was in possession of narcotics and is believed to be selling in East Ridge. Mr. Hilt received a $26,000 bond.
1107 Laurelwood Dr. / Theft:
Police responded to this location after the resident called and stated Wendsy Griffith stole his mother’s pearl bracelet from his residence. Police located Griffith with the bracelet. Griffith was issued a citation for theft and the property was returned to the victim.
5313 Stateline Rd. / Burglary in Progress:
While responded to a burglary in progress at this location police were able to intercept the suspect (Robert Hess) in the 5300 block of Bennett Rd as he was attempting to leave. After speaking to the reporting party there are no charges for burglary, however Hess was found to have active East Ridge warrants and was taken into custody.
800 Belvior Ave / Unconscious Person:
Police responded to this location after being alerted about an unresponsive male in the parking lot of this location. Police contacted the male party and were able to wake him. The male party was identified as Charles Sledge and was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication.
4338 Ringgold Road/ Simple Possession:
Police preformed a traffic stop on a 2005 blue Dodge NXT for improper registration. During a search of the vehicle 0.4 grams of methamphetamine belonging to Geraldine Phipps was discovered. Phipps received a misdemeanor citation for simple possession and was released from the scene.
