The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports provided by the administration.
March 23 Day Shift
1503 McDonald Road (medical):
A man, who stays at the Waverly Motel, called police stating an unknown person knocked on his door and told him he had to leave. He is on self-quarantine per doctor’s orders because of suspected COVID-19. Police spoke with management and explained the situation, and the man will be allowed to stay. He will be receiving his test results tomorrow and will contact police with the results.
3625 Ringgold Road (medical):
A man staying at the Cascades Motel, was transported by ambulance due to suspected COVID-19 infection. He stated he has been around a person who tested positive for the virus. The manager of the motel was in the room with him.
409 Alice Drive (burglary):
The resident reported arriving home to find his door kicked open and his 65” Roku television missing from his bedroom. The television was entered into NCIC. No suspect information is available.

Night Shift
941 Spring Creek Rd (Theft):
The complainant called police when his wife was released from Parkridge Valley Hospital due to a bag that contained a diamond ring, watch and $200 was missing from her property. The man’s wife was initially treated at Parkridge East on 3/17/20 and believes that the bag was taken while at the emergency room.
6514 Ringgold Road (Shoplifting):
An employee from Mapco called and advised a female stole beer from the store. Police made contact with the suspect (Tonya Brown) in the parking lot of the Waverly. Brown was drinking one of the beers that she had just stolen. Brown appeared to be highly intoxicated, and was also belligerent when speaking with officers. Brown stated she wanted to see EMS because she “didn’t feel right”. EMS arrived on scene and transported Brown to Parkridge East Hospital. Warrants are being sought for Shoplifting and Public Intoxication.
100 I75 NB (Unconscious Party):
A motorist was found asleep just outside the left lane of I75. EMS arrived on scene and transported the man to Parkridge East Hospital.
Belvoir @ Ringgold Rd. (Susp. Person):
Police were dispatched to this area regarding a male party screaming at traffic. Upon arrival, police spoke with the male party who is a frequent mental health consumer. Police advised the male to go home.
3712 Mary Anna (Disorder):
Police were dispatched to this location regarding a mother and her adult daughter, arguing again. Police instructed both parties to stop causing a disorder.
Springvale Park (Unconscious Person):
Police were dispatched to this location regarding a B/M laying on the ground unconscious. Upon police arrival, contact was made with William B. William was just taking a nap in the middle of the parking lot.
4033 Sherlin Dr. (Animal call):
Police responded by phone to the homeowner who wanted to report a neighbor had put her Pit Bull in the homeowner’s fence to fight with the homeowner’s dog. Police did search the area for a Pit Bull running loose, nothing located.
1500 Rugby Pl. (Susp. Vehicle):
Police were dispatched to this area regarding a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, police searched the area for a white Dodge Ram with loud exhaust. The vehicle was gone on arrival (GOA).
Sheridan Ave. (Shots Fired):
Police were dispatched to this area regarding a number of residents reporting hearing six shots fired. Upon arrival, police heard five more shots fired in the Sheridan Avenue area. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the person shooting a gun.
Arnold Plc. (Susp. Vehicle):
Police were dispatched to this area regarding a dark colored Honda with an occupant looking inside vehicles. The vehicle was GOA.
