Marty Haynes will be returning for a second term as Hamilton County Assessor of Property.
Haynes, who was challenged by Hamilton County Commissioner Randy Fairbanks in the Republican Primary, received 13,885 votes to Fairbanks’ 10,718.
No one qualified for the office in the Democratic Primary, therefore Haynes will have no opposition in November’s general election.
Joe Biden was the choice among Hamilton County voters in the Democratic Presidential Primary. Biden garnered 16,286 votes, while Bernie Sanders received 9,423. Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was a distant third with 5,554 votes.
Biden outpaced Sanders and Bloomberg statewide as well.
President Donald Trump who has token opposition in the Republican Primary, had 23,655 votes in Hamilton County.
Of the 214,837 registered voters in the county, 62,475 participated in the election.
