Feb. 18 Day Shift
Shawn Jarrett arrested on ER warrant
4224 Greenbriar Rd- Deceptive Practice-
The complainant reported three unauthorized transactions on her bank account through Amazon. No suspect info at this time.
2104 McBrien Rd – Assist Animal Services –
Police responded to the address and assisted animal services in warning a family who’s run “afowl” of city ordinances by housing live chickens on the property.
4340 Ringgold Rd – Assist Animal Services –
Police responded and assisted Animal Services in locating and capturing an apparently injured dog. She was relocated to the shelter.
4300 Ringgold Rd. AOA Warrant –
Larry Malone was transported to Hamilton County Jail on General Sessions warrants for Failure to Appear.
5911 Ringgold Rd-
Nicholas Starnes was taken into custody after being found in a stolen vehicle out of Walker Co, Ga. Holly Leonard who was also involved, was found to have multiple warrants out of Collegedale was also taken into custody and transported to HC Jail by Collegedale PD.. Vehicle was towed to Broome’s to be released to owner per Walker Co.

Night Shift
3220 Gleason Dr Apartment (65)/Domestic Assault:
Police were called to this location for an active fight. Upon arrival police saw Delaney Thomas Heathington Jr assault a woman. Mr. Heathington was arrested for Domestic assault, Theft under $1,000, Drug paraphernalia, Possession of schedule VI with intent to distribute, Possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony, and Tampering with evidence. All parties received copies of the conditions of release.
4108 Bennett Road / Child Abuse:
The complainant reported that her 3-year-old son came home with a scratch shaped like a fingernail on the right side of his torso and some bruising on his left arm. When questioned by his mother what happened, the juvenile male stated that his teacher hurt him. The complainant submitted a complaint to the director of the facility but doesn’t feel anything is being done. CPS was contacted.
6013 Welworth Avenue / Check Well Being:
Police responded to check the wellbeing of five Hispanic juveniles under the age of eleven. Upon arrival, the children hid in a bedroom and would not allow police inside the house. Police contacted CPS and while on the phone, the juvenile’s paternal aunt arrived on scene. The aunt stated that their father was deported, and their mother works at night. She comes to get them and take them to her house every night but was late getting there this evening. No visible signs of abuse or neglect. The house seemed to be in good order minus lacking furniture in the common rooms. The aunt took the children to her house in Fort Oglethorpe.
6400 Ringgold Road / MVC Hit and Run:
The complainant reported that around 15:00 hours this date, she was traveling eastbound in the right lane on Ringgold Road when a Chevrolet Equinox pulled out of McDonald’s parking lot merging into the left lane of EB traffic. The vehicle crossed into the right lane and side swiped the complainant’s Dodge Dart. The Equinox then merged onto the on Ramp I-75 SB. The complainant was able to capture the TN tag before the Equinox disappeared from sight.
6701 Ringgold Road / Aggravated Assault:
Police were originally called to the Motel 6 for a narcotics investigation due to the hotel clerk observing a maroon Ford Focus occupied by two black males in the parking lot who were using marijuana. She also observed the passenger of the vehicle urinating in the open lot. She advised that she had confronted the two and that they had moved to the gas station across the street. Police made contact with the vehicle at the Sunrise Market at 6701 Ringgold Road. As police were making contact with the driver of the vehicle, he fled the scene, striking an officer in the hip and leg with the driver’s side rear quarter panel of the vehicle. Police identified the driver to be Mark Kentrell Gardner of Decatur, Georgia. Warrants are being sought.
601 Walnut Street / Warrant service:
Warrant service completed for 22-year-old Kyla Jones of a Woodmore Lane address in Chattanooga on the charge of robbery.
1437 N Mack Smith Rd / Simple possession:
A black Mazda 6 was stopped for a non-functioning headlight. Driver, Radrekus Glenn, was driving on revoked. Permission to search the vehicle was given. 2.4 grams of marijuana was found in the passenger side door. No other occupants. Glenn was given a citation in lieu of for simple possession.
