East Ridge is cool. Much cooler now than even a few years ago. I’ve now lived here for 15 years, having formerly been a Hixsonite and a Red Bankian!

The progress continues to be remarkable. With Exit 1 – our “Gateway To Tennessee” – and its visible growth, I’ve no doubt East Ridge will reap many benefits from travelers, due to our easy access.

As I drive from our home toward the west end of our town, it’s obvious that the growth and the “facelift” is moving from the area around Bass Pro Shop and Top Golf toward Missionary Ridge.

As O’Reilly Auto Parts prepares to move into their brand new facility, and East Ridge Family Dental has started it’s renovation of our old landmark, Kingwood Pharmacy, our city is shining like never before!

There are many other good signs. The last two homes I helped clients sell were bought by younger people, who bought with the “game plan” of renovating, updating, and becoming part of our community.

Yes, there’s still work to be done, but East Ridge residents and businesses have sure made a great start!
